When hundreds of hours spent each year hauling bikes to NICA races, organizing messy garages and Jeeping + MTB'ing in the Utah desert combined with a lack of rack options to get us all to the trailhead, we set out with some metal, welding equipment and a desire to build a better bike rack. Fast forward through months of 3D modeling, stress and strain calculations and building more prototypes; we were finally ready for some off-road testing. We'll just put it this way - after all the potholes, ravines in dirt roads, and pinned corners, there were more failures on our Tacoma than on the rack. After all was said and done, the VelociRAX was born.
