Over time the business has expanded beyond walleye to a variety of freshwater fish like yellow perch, bluegill, lake trout, whitefish, smelt, northern pike, salmon and more. There are also Midwestern specialties like cheese curds, wild rice, venison summer sausage, soups and smoked fish options. Gerbs began in 2003 in Rhode Island with a family recipe for roasted pumpkin seeds. What started in a home kitchen is now a full line of seeds, dried fruits, granolas and pantry staples, all made free from the top 14 allergens.
The part that matters most to our customers is where the food is made. Gerbs runs its own facility in Johnston, Rhode Island, using roasting and packaging equipment we own and operate.
