About this CompanyOur story begins back in 2000, when Laura and Scott Jordan - our future Pocket entrepreneurs - realized the world of fashion was light years behind the ever-changing world of technology. Laura was tired of carrying all of Scott’s gadgets in her bags and Scott’s traditional pockets couldn’t carry everything he needed...and a man purse was out of the question. Scott had a brilliant idea: he would create a modified fisherman’s vest but with extra pockets, enough to hold all of his essentials but still stylish enough to wear out around town.
Those were the humble beginnings of SCOTTeVEST. The company has now evolved into an international business, with a full line of men’s and women’s vests, jackets, pullovers, hoodies, shirts, dresses, underwear, pajamas and pants; all designed to strategically hold and organize your personal belongings so whatever you need is always on hand.

This is my second Scottevest purchase and am as pleased with it as with the first one. The only suggestion is put a little more emphasis on this being a jacket for cooler weather. Living in Florida it really only is useful for winter, not three seasons, OR for travel to cooler climes (which is where I'm headed later this year).

Great sweater and material. Runs true to size however too small in arm and across the chest. Due to final sale unable to return for next size up for additional arm room.

light and thin to be worn by itself or under jackets, but beware its inside pocket zippers are flimsy, jam easily and break off. This was my experience after wearing the vest just 3 times!

Ordered one for my husband. He loves the abundance of pockets. He no longer carries a backpack for daily outings while wearing this vest. He is asking for another vest in another color.

The vest itself is great. I deducted a star because the black is NOT black; it is dark gray. I purchased it thinking I can layer it over a black sweatshirt for colder weather; an accurate color description would have been nice.

The fabric is soft and comfortable. It’s a great extra layer of warmth on chilly days. It is comfortable over a light sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt. I did buy a size larger than I usually wear for that purpose. I like all the pockets. I doubt that I would use all at the same time. It would probably be far too heavy. It is easy to distribute the weight evenly. I do wish that the earbud pockets were designed for wireless earbuds instead of wired.

I have ordered from ScotteVest one time in the past and thought I give them another go. My husband loves pockets and deep ones too. So this "8" pocket pant sounded perfect only to find there are only 6 pockets. What they say are coin pockets are only slits inside a pocket which the coins can easily fall out of. Otherwise a nice everyday slack.

The Margaux pants are super comfortable, and I wear them most days. They’re well made and the best pants I’ve found for the combination of comfort and reasonably attractive. They’re an informal style, so not my first pick for going out to a nice restaurant, but for everyday running about, they’re terrific.

I needed to contact customer service, because I'd expected to have my shopper's credits applied to the current purchase. Apparently, they don't do that when an item is on sale and thus another discount has been applied. Despite that, they went ahead and applied the credits. So, the customer service folks were fast, accommodating and efficient. It would be lovely if the site itself were a little clearer on the topic, but I was very happy with the quick and gracious resolution.

This is my third Penny Coat. I have been a Scottevest owner since they started and didn't have any womens jackets. I own several. I wear them until they start to disintegrate, which takes about four years. I live in Chicago. That's about six months of everyday wear. I gave my first coat to my niece and she is still wearing it. I never carry a purse. This is the only way. They just need to make more styles. Especially slim cargo knee pants for woman.
