Extranomical Tours, founded in 2002, is a San Francisco sightseeing tour company that specializes in tours for people who generally do not like to take tours. Our clientele is very independent and likes to venture to places where most tour companies don't go to. Due to the small size of our groups, our guests receive a more personalized and exclusive experience from us. Our tours offer a distinct "traveling with friends" feel, so that most people interact with each other and so we are able to visit locations larger vehicles do not. For example, we have a short hike up to the Giant Sequoia grove on our one day Yosemite tour from San Francisco. On our California wine country tours, we visit small family-owned boutique wineries (too small for large buses) that produce such limited quantities you can only buy their wine at their winery!

I loved the tour guide. Gino was extraordinary: gave plenty of time for pictures, made sure we were getting food supplies, explained a plethora of things, and did his best. He was charming, funny and very kind. I am quite disappointed that we did not go to Sequoia which was my reason to book the tour!! Obviously that has nothing to do with our guide, but it would be nice if the company compensate for that in some way - I still want to see the Sequoia trees!

Tour was fabulous and absolutely worth it. Denise was a wonderful tour guide, very helpful and knowledgable. Learned lots about the area and had plenty of time to enjoy Yosemite valley. We were not able to see the giant sequoias, as there was still too much snow (early April). Instead, we had more time in Yosemite valley.
Would definitely recommend!

The views and guide were great. His driving was absolutely terrifying. If I had the signal I would have downloaded a speedometer and sent pictures to you.

Other than the schedule changes, at the end it was a wonderful tour. Was not impressed with the Mayo Wines. All else was wonderful, the lunch amazing.
Now let's talk about our tour guide Dustin, would definitely request him for any tour any time, he was funny, knowledgeable and on time for the entire tour, I don't think we could have had a better tour guide.

Great tour and great guide had to take an Uber both ways from San Jose to Livermore but had pleasant drivers. Only comment was dinner time
No places to eat or sit
Just a supermarket- sitting in the cold was pretty grim
Suggest you pack some veg and non veg box lunches/ dinners for the patrons and eat on the bus or a well lighted / heated area.

The guide/driver Phil could not have been more helpful. He made extra stops and when it rained took us to a beautiful hotel where we could have lunch. On the ride back to SFO he showed 'Free Solo' the perfect end to the trip. Highly recommended.

Our guide Mark was awesome. Loved the first winery and enjoyed the 2nd two though because of fire damage we couldn't go to the two others that had been on the plan.

Gino, our driver and tour guide, was the man! He made our tour awesome! He had endless facts, stories, and sights to see. The drive was beautiful. I took this trip with my teens (14&17yr olds). Not the easiest to please. However, they both told me that this was their favorite part about our trip to San Francisco. I wish we could have spent more time in Tuolumne. It was absolutely beautiful! I felt that overall, the trip was very well worth it and a great way to see Yosemite in one day. The only thing I wished was improved on was that the advertisement said pick up/drop off at my hotel. 2 days before the trip I received an email telling me to be at some random hotel for pick up. My kids and I had to take the bus and walk several blocks at 5am and again at 10pm. I chose this particular tour because of the hotel pick up and our hotel was at Lombard & Fillmore, not out of the city. So, just be aware before choosing this company.

The tour was wonderful. I usually am an independent traveler but chose to do this due to limited time. It was perfect as we got to see what we wanted and our driver and guide was charming. His name was Gino and he had a Russian accent. He knew his stuff and was a charming caring guy. He even bought a happy birthday balloon for a guest! So thoughtful and kind. I would recommend this to anyone like myself who have always wanted to see Yosemite but had a small window to do it!

We were blessed to have Miss. Trish as our tour guide for the day. She is truly an ICON. She was so sweet and funny and always made it a point to make sure everyone was comfortable. She made sure to give us the best spots to take great pictures. 10/10 would love to do another tour with her again (Sorry Kim lol).

Our guide, Alberto, was great and very friendly. Yosemite was wonderful, even with the smokey haze. Unfortunately 40 minutes late waiting to be picked up on the Highway. Called office but no information. Covid safety guidelines were weak. 20-person coach with 13 people on board made social distancing impossible. We were told there would be 5 passengers. No mask/sanitizer reminders. Advertised that wifi on board the coach but there wasn't.
