I wrote an email to Beachstore.com complaining about all the strings hanging from the umbrella. Apparently the strings/threads are from the fabric edging that needed to be cut before the umbrella trim was sewn on.

Very well designed and comfortable beach chair, with one exception: the foot rest is too short for the average height adult man. At barely 6' tall, the leg extension only goes to the middle of my calf. I plan to cut the aluminum piece there and attach a 6-8" extender. A better design for the future would be to have a telescoping adjustable leg extension.
