I bought this bulb because it is bright and I had an outdoor location (4) that Might see some humidity. First the web site lists 900 Lumens, but the packaging and bulb state 820 Lumens. That said, these are Way brighter than the 60W incandescent bulbs I replaced! The uniformity is Excellent; no modeling. The 40 degree angle is very useful in my application. Soft blend at the edges, making the spread beyond 40 degrees, which is very pleasant in my application. The color temperature of 4K is perfect for out door lighting. And the color accuracy is great; stuff looks great in this light. Even my wife notice that the plants and yard "look right" with these. The instant-On, is really as close to instant As you can get. Fast than most every LED and Way faster than CLF. ( I did my tests at 50 degrees.) As for the rating?really a FIVE star bulb?with a 3 start Spec sheet.
