We have installed several of the Franklin AutoSwing operators and have been very impressed with the ease of install and final performance. When we have run into any issues, either with installation concerns (headroom, out-swing vs. in-swing, etc.) or programming questions, we have always received prompt attention and have had all of our questions answered satisfactorily. We have specifically been impressed with Kalee and her thorough knowledge. She has been tremendous to work with and has provided great service, including sending out updated installation literature to ensure we are covering all of the bases. It is rare to have such a competent support group these days, and we will continue to use and recommend these operators due to excellent customer service/communication and a solid product build.

We are very happy with our Franklin Autoswing Opener. Since oru carriage doors were for a golf cart, we had to modify the installation. Customer Service led us through the changes and everything work great!

Just got these installed on a custom set of carriage doors. They are super quiet and powerful motors. The radio range is really good, even without the extra antenna. Glad I purchased the HomeLink adapter as well. I am extremely satisfied with this product. Very high quality. 2 small notes: I agree that the control housing was a little cumbersome to deal with. I was ok drilling holes for cabling, since every install is different in some ways, but the real problem i found was wiring in the components. The main logic board has to be removed from the housing in order to access the set screws for each terminal. This was kind of a pain, as the housing was mounted on the wall, components in place, and I'm on a ladder with the circuit board dangling from the wires. also had to remove the board a second time when i decided to switch motor 1 for motor 2. This should be as easy as switching out the terminal block on the board for one with accessible screws. But, that's up to BFT to fix... :) Also, the HomeLink adapter works great, but the included instructions were incorrect. It took some time to find the right ones that would work for me, but the top set of instructions from the manufacturer's website finally got it working for me: http://www.sommer-usa.com/homelink.html

I purchased the Franklin Swing Arm garage (carriage) door opener from Real Sliding Hardware and it arrived the day after I ordered it. Lighting-fast shipping. My father and I installed the opener and we had a question about the manual override keys on the motors (accessed from the interior). I wrote to Real Sliding Hardware with our concern and they called us back within the hour. I highly recommend both this product and this company. The opener works flawlessly and the people behind the scenes are second to none. —Bem Jimmerson

High quality system components (Italian), excellent installation instructions provided, works really well. Motor/gear system and swing arms are very heavy duty. Agree with previous reviewer that adding knockouts/wiring access to the control unit box would be a plus. I didn't bother removing the circuit board to drill the case, but it does take some care. I bought the wiring kit, and wouldn't bother if I were doing it again. If you're putting your wiring in any kind of wire mold or panduit, you'll need more anyway, and buying it yourself will be less expensive. Also found that a couple of short lengths of 22 gauge solid copper wire to tie back the manual releases during installation and adjustment were an indispensable "tool". I would buy this system again, if I have a similar need.

This is the second Franklin opener I have purchased and I continue to be very pleased with the quality of the opener and the ease of installation. In general the step-by-step instructions are clear and easy to follow. The only improvement I would make in the kit is the controller housing should really include knockouts for cabling. Drilling the housing is difficult and taking the circuit boards out introduces unnecessary risk. Otherwise the kitting is very well thought out and makes the installation much easier.
