Our 7 yr. old gas water heater had been "popping" for a while. We didn't realize that you're suppose to flush it periodically. Selling our house and the inspector noted this so we had to get it fixed. Just flushing didn't work and we didn't want to put anything toxic in the tank. Used 2 lbs of Mag-erad, let it sit for 2-3 hours, could not believe the stuff that came out. Had to use small wet vac to get the large pieces and sediment that settled below the drain hole. Tedious but so worth it! No more "popping"!!

My heater was making hissing and popping noises. I called sds and they provided me good information on the product. Easy to follow instructions made it easy to do. Like the fact it is non-toxic so wan't nervous about using. Cleared up my noise problems and seems like I get more hot water now. Many thanks.
