Installation by technician was straight-forward, mounting, refrigerant and power line hookups also relatively uncomplicated. Running very nicely. So far, so good.

I converted my screen room to a four-season room and could not tap into my existing HVAC system. I could not stand the thought of a window ac and plug-in heaters. This 12,000 btu unit fit the room perfectly. Simple installation took about 4 hours. I would highly recommend this system to anyone needing a room cooled.

Easy to install. However, need special equipment such as an automotive vacuum pump, a charge gauge set, and a Mini-Split adapter. You certainly need a hole saw to have a cleaner install. Pioneer should include the mini-split adapter, it's a $9.00 adapter that hard to find and may only be found at the HVAC supply stores. Without the adapter, you cannot connect the vacuum pump to the compressor unit to vacuum out all the air in the lines. The unit runs very quietly, well worth the buys and installation...Youtube video helps.

I have installed 4 of these units. The only issue I have ever had was one of them wouldn't seal at the charging cap. We had to use a sealant and make that valve unusable to stop it. Other than that these units are quiet and work very well.

I think its a great product. Haven't hear of that many problems. It did cost me $500 for a technician to charge and test the system after I did the install, but that way its covered by the warrantee .
