This is the second unit I have purchased from Pioneer. The first was a 9k BTU we put on our camper about a 2 years ago and could'nt be happier. This one 18k BTU for our house. so far both of the units have worked flawlessly. A quality unit for a fair price.

Positioning of indoor unit line set is very hard to couple with the (line set). Need two people to do it. If you provide a 90 degree coupling for wall exit it would a piece of cake. Also transportation from Florida to Washington took 20 days. I can get stuff from Chine faster than that. Maybe another carrier option should be offered.

Bought the 18,000 BTU for a 520 SF (or so) basement apt. It works incredibly well and is soooooo quiet which is an AWESOME feature as I have very sensitive hearing. Would recommend to anyone. A few misc items need to be purchased that aren't included, but overall absolutely give a 5 star rating

Hopeful this one lasts longer than the previous unit, a Celiera - from Lowes that lasted only 3 years till the compressor failed. the Pioneer unit was pretty easy to install but I didn't like that I had to have the hole through the wall partially showing below the bottom line of the wall unit because the lines must exit so close to that point. It works well though. Heats a 600 sq. foot cabin well even in nights in the low 30's. One concern was the line set I ordered with it. I was shipped well, but the threaded plugs used to keep impurities out of the lines we not properly screwed in all the way, so with the jostling of the trucking, it arrived with one plug out and 3 loosely in. Hope I didn't end up with something in the line. I looked okay and evacuated well.

Best price on a mini-split. Used a Pioneer several years ago; it needed a circuit board after 5 years, but good otherwise.
