Cap’n Josh, as he was known, was really only seeking a cool, comfortable, stable night’s sleep onboard his boat; he never set out to be in the hammock business! But soon enough, the inevitable happened: Friends wanted a rope hammock as good as the one he’d made for himself, and then it was friends of friends, and then folks Cap’n Josh didn’t know at all. In no time, family members were pitching in to help him meet the increasing demand. Jump forward just a few decades, and the Original Pawleys Island Rope Hammock had already become the standard by which other rope hammocks were being measured. Today, we get machine assistance with a few production processes, such as rope-making and woodcutting, to capture the precision required. At Pawleys Island, we don’t view the human part of the process merely as important; we regard it as essential. Handcrafting is who we are.

While the PI hammock is a replacement, the hammock pillow is new too my hammock experience, and cannot wait until summer too lay my head on it!

unfortunately the pillow was not wrapped so when we slit open the box we sliced the pillow. I have ordered a second pillow.

Pretty pillow but I should have picked a different color. I picked the Chambray Natural color. The first day I had it outside, a bird dropped a present on it. The fabric sort of absorbed it. Tried to clean it off but there was still a spot. It may possibly fade in time but I think getting a darker color would have been better. Also, the fabric is a little scratchy.

This pillow was delivered early and the color was the same as the picture on the website. It appears weather resistant and comfortable for a outdoor hammock pillow. I normally bring some bed pillows out with me while using a hammock but I like the hammock pillow as it helps hold the other pillows in place when I get up.

Overall it was a good experience. I'm in California so it's difficult to get in touch with you by phone unless I go out of my way to call in the morning. As I recall I don't think your phone has voice mail either. No way for you to call me back.
