This micron gauge did the job for me. It's very accurate (as far as I can tell) and sounds a nice little alarm when you get down to 500 microns. However it shuts off after 10 minutes so it does require turning it back on now and then to check your micron level.

Used a few times for my mini split installs and for a car a/c evac. I accidentally put positive pressure on it, to about 30 psi. Thought I broke it as it read weird values right away. Pulled it way down in vacuum and seems to be working properly again. Doesn't seem to leak at all.
