The perfect jacket for traveling used it throughout Israel and Jordan. Got a compliment from our Jewish tour guide, Who has been eyeing that online as well. The only complaint is the sleeves at the wrist or too loose other than that it's the perfect jacket. This is my third Scotty jacket

This jacket doesn't run quite as large in size as the site says; after I gave the sizing guide my measurements, it recommended XL, and even though my instincts told me to go with straight L I went with XL. I'm pretty sure L would have been a better fit, especially in the sleeves. I'm going to give that a try the next time I want to buy one. And I will want to buy another. The above issue is the closest thing this jacket has to a downside, though. It's handy, adaptable, sturdy, comfortable, and good-looking. I can now go out wearing my jacket to carry all the stuff I need daily, and even stuff I only might need, and only have reason to carry my laptop bag (who previously had that job) when I actually need my laptop. It's also been a very good choice for the hot weather this summer. I won't bother listing all the minor health issues that make that impressive, but trust me: for many years, it's been incredibly hard for me to find a way to go out during the summer without some form of discomfort, and this jacket has them all covered without even meaning to. For the average customer, just know that the torso is medium-weight and the (removable) sleeves are very light, which is a surprisingly well-engineered combination for temperatures from 50-100F (the overall low and high temperatures for the past couple of months). Well done, SCOTTeVEST. Well done.

This is a great light weight jacket. The removal sleeves with the magnet attachment is genius! The pocket space is great.

This is my second Tropiformer. Vest part fits great. Arms are puffy in the shoulders, but that is outweighed by the functionality. My first Tropiformer was in pewter, which I was not a fan of, so this time I got the cement, but I have mixed feelings about it. We'll see if I can learn to accept the color.

I love this vest in fact I love all 3 of my vest. I have one for fall, one for winter, and my tropiformer for summer. I love the fact I can carry so much and not feel over burden. I love the sleeves with magnets and the hood I can remove and put in the pouch. Are I can tuck the whole jacket in the pouch for travel. I love their products. They are well made and incredibly practical.

This jacket fits great, my one complaint is the adjustability of the cuffs. They could use more range and someplace to tuck the adjustment straps, other than that, this is the nicest, most useful lightweight jacket I've ever owned.

Like others have commented, the sleeve openings are way too big. If they could extend the Velcro a few inches it would make it much more practical. I am somewhat annoyed that I am now on my second order with Amazon trying to find Velcro that matches the existing colour, and then I have to go to the expense of finding a seamstress to put it on for me. Also, its too loose on the bottom for my liking. An elastic drawstring on the bottom like those on most other jackets would certainly help. I love all the pockets and rest of the design, but these deficiencies make the purchase a lot less satisfying than I had hoped for.

I purchased the Men's Tropiformer for myself because there were no Tropiformers for women. It is the only jacket in the color I love - green. I do, however, question all the magnets used to keep the arms and back attached to the vest. Is that healthy? Why not velcro? Also, do not sit in a metal chair or bench wearing this jacket or be prepared to get stuck!

I bought this jacket to replace my very old SEV jacket with the same purpose as the Tropiformer, light jacket, semitropical temperatures, and loads of pockets. This new jacket disappointed me because there is a large gap in the shoulder of the fastened sleeves, it is heavier and the pockets are smaller. My wife liked the new jacket so she traded me for her old SEV jacket bought about the same time as my old jacket.

So many options with this jacket. Very flexible. They put in everything but the kitchen sink. I think they had so much fun they forgot about usability. It's just confusing. It does pack I a pocket, but it's huge when it's packed. And they used a cheap zipper on the front which always sticks.

I would recommend this to anyone. A very good garment that has been carefully thought out and has been invaluable on my current trip. I have worn it everyday for the past 7 days. I am extremely pleased with the purchase. Thought it was too expensive online until I put it on and began using it. Even in Hawaii with the humidity in "vest mode" it has been stellar. In Utah at 9 -35?
