About this CompanyOur story begins back in 2000, when Laura and Scott Jordan - our future Pocket entrepreneurs - realized the world of fashion was light years behind the ever-changing world of technology. Laura was tired of carrying all of Scott’s gadgets in her bags and Scott’s traditional pockets couldn’t carry everything he needed...and a man purse was out of the question. Scott had a brilliant idea: he would create a modified fisherman’s vest but with extra pockets, enough to hold all of his essentials but still stylish enough to wear out around town.
Those were the humble beginnings of SCOTTeVEST. The company has now evolved into an international business, with a full line of men’s and women’s vests, jackets, pullovers, hoodies, shirts, dresses, underwear, pajamas and pants; all designed to strategically hold and organize your personal belongings so whatever you need is always on hand.

Years ago I bought a 2 piece winter coat with a fleece lining that doubled as a fall jacket. As I don't mind the cold I rarely need the outer coat. It sits in my car for "emergency" use and is still in brand new condition. The fleece coat is finally showing its age. The item seems to be so old that nobody at Scottevest remembered it when I asked. The fleece hoodie is the closest alternative, but I prefer the original. The fleece was thicker making it sturdier. I can't get over the sense that my keys are going to punch a hole through the pocket of my new one. The old one had fantastically useful chest high pockets with zippers on the outside. To access the pockets on the new one I must unzip the coat itself, search for the super-high inner zippers high, and then feel whatever I put inside pushing into my underarm.
Why SCOTTeVEST?
I am a long time customer. I have what might be the original ScotteVest (it is made of a parachute nylon kind of material), several hats purchased for myself and as gifts, and the fantastic 2 piece winter coat. I might be more satisfied with the newest purchase (fleece hoodie) if the jacket it is replacing wasn't so much more practical.
