The company has now evolved into an international business, with a full line of men’s and women’s vests, jackets, pullovers, hoodies, shirts, dresses, underwear, pajamas and pants; all designed to strategically hold and organize your personal belongings so whatever you need is always on hand.

My husbsnd loved the vest. It was an early holiday gift for our travels over Thanksgiving and Christmas. It made getting through security less stressfull. I am certain it will be a favorite of his for many years to come.

This vest is far better constructed than the original I bought when they first came out IMO. I'm an XXL and ordered a size up and it fits well. I just got home from a road trip and was able to store many health-related items along with my wallet, keys, cell phone, and notepad. I felt they were all very secure.

I now own three of these, purchased across three years. They all have held up well, with near daily wear during the fall. They look sharp enough that I can wear them for semi-casual business meetings but still have all my "gear" on me without having to tote around a bag or briefcase. In terms of warmth, it's a great layer either alone, w/a hoodie or under a heavy jacket.
Why SCOTTeVEST?
Because I carry a lot of stuff. I still continue to choose scottevest over 10 years later because their products are always well designed and look good.

The interior "phone" pockets on the vests seem to be the first thing to wear out.
I've also definitely noticed that the quality of the zippers on some more recent versions has definitely declined (this goes for nearly all products -- vests, hoodies, coats and qzips esp). Given that the product is so centered on those compartments, I hate that that's where you have decided to cut costs.
However, the most frustrating thing is when the "main" zipper fails (that is a result of cutting costs/quality), rendering an expensive item of clothing basically useless.
Also, for the hidden cargo pants (of which I own several pair) there's this weird deal where the flap that covers the zipper kind of does a "permanent fold" after a few washes, so it looks like my fly is undone. The material is so thick there, that even with a very forceful iron it still folds back over after a few hours.

No matter where I wake up -- at home, for travel, or camping -- all I have to do is reach for my vest to have most of my items I would need immediately or throughout the day in one place and neatly organized. Plus, I have space to "stash" stuff during the day if I'm shopping or want to carry a camera larger than my phone.

I don't know how the design would work for your patented weight distribution no bulge thing, but a big "back" pocket for the vests (and hoodies) like you have for some of your coats would be nice.

I've been a scottevest customer since 2009, and have probably owned 90% of their products designed for men (fwiw, I still own my first coat/vest and it's in my camping gear rotation to this day). It's very rare that a day goes by where I don't have a scottevest product on my person (most days it's 2 or more). Probably the lowest review I've ever given is a 4 star, but the overwhelming majority have been 5 stars. The products work great for me, in terms of being able to organize and carry my "every day" gear. Also, I tend to need a lot of smaller items for work so it's nice to have those all in one place as well. Traveling with their products is also awesome, as long as you don't forget an item in one of your pockets at security. I just load up my vest, send it through security screening, and then put it back on and have access to phone, tablet, headphones etc. Plus I'm a bigger guy, so being able to get to all that stuff easily on a cramped airplane without disturbing my seatmates is definitely nice (for me and them).

I am never without my SCOTTeVEST. I have just purchased my first fleece vest for my winter travels across Canada in 2022. I picked red for that reason. I have 5 pairs of their cargo pants but prefer the ones with outer pockets and I hope they bring those back, as well as a summer vest in red. I love the shopping experience with SCOTTeVEST as much as the products!
