I started using CryoDerm before I had rotator cuff surgery. I can't take NSAID drugs for arthritis pain due to gastric bypass surgery. I have to rely on topical products and CryoDerm works better than anything I have used. It is worth the extra cost for the pain relief.

Since I had read other reviews, I had an idea what to expect. I opted for the gel, because I read the spray was too watery. The gel is nice and thick which makes it easy to put on only the area wanted. It does have a medicine smell but does fade away. I use it for pain in my lower back, and it does help. I don't know how, but it does. It gives the area a cold feeling. It lasts for about a day and I have to reapply. A word of CAUTION: Wash your hands thoroughly after use, or even use gloves to apply. I had some residue on my hand, even after washing them, and I rubbed my eye. Ouch, did that burn!

I used the spray version of this first and loved it, but figured the gel would probably work better for parts of the body other than the back. I was right. It's amazing! It eliminates pain and discomfort quickly and for hours at a time. I particularly love it's made from homeopathics and essential oils, both of which my family utilizes regularly. Highly recommended!
