I have owned several pairs of Salomon XA Pro 3D which I believe are the same throughout the line despite the Forces designation (with the exception of inner ankle faux leather and mid height). I have found that the outsole wears out fairly quickly and that the EVA despite the dual density compresses much faster than PU. Is it a good fast and light boot/shoe - yes. Does it have a long lifespan - no. Does the tread have good traction - not really. I have never understood the traction on these Salomon. Sometimes the speedcross type traction is too aggressive while this tread lacks needed aggressiveness in many conditions

I also have a pair in iguana. My favorite shoe in general. Comfortable, light, durable, grippy and the gore-tex is great.

So I read previous reviews stating these boots do not fit wide feet. That’s true when you take them straight out of the box, but I took several pairs of rolled-up socks, stuffed them in the boots, and tightened the laces overnight. For the next few days I used thin socks and then slightly thicker, tactical socks. Problem solved. The boots stretched to fit my VERY WIDE feet and are as comfortable as ever. For this to work you must order a half size larger (I’m a size 10 and ordered 10.5). This is my second pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D Mid GTX Forces 2. Sturdy, well made boots. Best I’ve ever owned!

I really like the boot, comfortable and not too hot even in warm weathers of Hong Kong but for some weird reason my left boot would hurt the top of my foot after wearing it for a few hours. It feels like there is a hard object pressing on my feet when i tighten the laces. Not sure what I can do about it apart from not lacing up the left boot.

I purchased the 7.5M and found them to fit a little long. The photos on US Elite Gear represent the colour VERY accurately.

I've gone through Lowa, Danner, Oakley, etc. and this is the most comfortable and durable boot I own. I'm a civilian now so most of my hikes are in the upstate of South Carolina. No desert time with these but they have been awesome climbing Table Rock and a number of "difficult" trails here. I liked em so much I bought my buddy a pair.

If you are in-between sizes, get a full size up. A little on the narrow side. Its two different styles of grey.

I've owned 4 or 5 pair of Salomon shoes and these were the most expensive. Unfortunately, they have the look and feel of a low budget knock off. I'm extremely dissapointed. In this case price does not equate with quality. Extremely light with no arch support.

Got these shoes for Xmas and I absolutely love them, great fit, comfortable look cool. My 3rd pair of Salomon's and my favorite thus far.

I own the sneaker version of this without GTX, and I was skeptical about the fit. I was wrong . It fits great, it's very comfortable and can't wait to take them on my next trip. Quick service as well. Got them in 3 days! Thank you.

Very comfortable boot. Very easy to lace up, true to size, lightweight, and dry (up to the ankles obviously). Very pleased with the boot, 4/5 is due to how narrow they are and I have narrow feet.

For what I had paid, I think that I have gotten a steal. they are super light, comfortable(once you get used to the speed lacing system), and look very subtle like a high quality basketball sneaker than a boot. they arent a loud bright grey like the pictures unless you are in some ridiculously bright over 750 lumen light. they are like a much darker grey, again like a basketball sneaker. if you can get them during the sale, its a much better shoe than the merrell for the same price. no you wont sweat your feet off from the goretex, even with cotton socks, even in the summer heat in the south. If I had the cash right now, I would buy a few to put back.

I have been wearing this boot now for a week. I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. Don't get me wrong it is a very comfortable boot, just wish the soul was a little bit wider. Stared to feel pain in the outside of both my feet after hour 4. Now I know that some of you will say then get a bigger size. I did, go a 1/2 size larger. I am not new to wearing boots. I was in the Army for 26 years so I know a thing or two about proper sizing.

I'm rather new to Salomon, and I think I'm gonna stick with them for a long time. They are very comfortable and have a very good stability. U.S. Elite is awesome with it's shipping!

I'm short and wear a 6.5 wide boot. I find it difficult to believe Salomon doesn't produce a boot that will fit me properly. Wearing a 7 is not the right answer as long movements with heavy rucks aren't easy on feet placed in boots sized larger than appropriate. If Salomon wants the American market then they need to listen up!

Excellent as expected. Great for work and outdoors. These are the 3rd pair I have purchased through US Elite. Those complaining about sizes, you just size up 1 from your normal.
