This unit was recommended by a friend of mine who already had two of them and could not say enough good things about them. I want on his recommendation as well as a little due diligence. I couldn’t be happier. A little difficult for one person to install by themselves in a working garage but all in all very simple. I will use more in the future.

This is a great unit, very quite inside and outside. Uses about 25 kWh per day when running full time at temps below 25 deg. f. Keeps my cabin at what ever temp I set it to. Get the wifi option if you have a network at home, great to have. I installed the heat pump myself and got the local company to come out and evacuate the lines of air, pressure test and release the refrigerant. Unit suprised local company with performance, and pressure test results. Great performance from start to finish, manuals where great to.

Thus unit is extremely easy to install and required no professional assistance until the testing process. I have now installed multiple units and if I had to do it again, they all would have been Pioneer high efficiency units.

Right now making a loud rattling noise. Not sure why, it was just installed.

Not difficult to install. I had an electrician and HVAC hookup. For some reason it is making a rattling sound.

Would like to be able to order the length of piping I need, so I do not have to cut and reflange the piping.

Great Deal, Every thing you needed was there. But I would like to order the piping length, so I don't need to cut and reflange the pipe ends. I received 16ft, but could have used 10ft. Still, its a great deal.

It is exactly what we needed for our new back house. It seems very efficient. I looked at some of the other mini split units and we decided on this one because of the price and efficiency rating. It is so quiet, I can barely tell when it’s on. Very happy so far.

Great so far. We have had it installed for a little over two weeks. During that time we have had temperatures in the upper 30s all the way up to the 80s. (Typical winter in New Orleans). We have also experienced two heavy rain storms. I especially like the auto feature that maintains a steady temperature with both heating and cooling as needed. It has done a great job of pulling moisture out of the air. So far so good. We will see how it holds up.

Unit seems to work well when it is initially started, but control doesn't continue for long period. I put the remote on "follow me" but it doesn't cycle on and off as i think it should. With a restart the heat will again come on and blow as I would expect, but overnight it doesn't appear to cycle. The jury is out on control as mechanical and electrical function appear to respond properly but thermostat cycling control is spotty at best.

The order and shipping/receipt process was easy and trouble free. Performance of the eqipment is intermittent as to control. Right now I am still hoping it is just something I am not doing correctly with the remote settings.

We purchased this unit after a great deal of research and a recommendation from a friend who has one already installed. You will not find any other company with the mass of technical and specification information than Pioneer. The unit shipped very fast, and the technical support was very courteous and helpful. The install instructions were well written and easy to understand. I had it ready for my HVAC professional inside of a day. We recommend Pioneer, and would buy another unit. It is easy to perceive that Pioneer is the leader in the industry for mini-split ductless systems.

Performance Quality Price Very impressed with operation. As a mitsubishi factory trained tech I can say these are excellent. Keeps my 10'wx20'Dx11'H cabin 73 degrees even 10 below zero!!

the unit was installed in 1/2 a day, by 1 man!! this is more than likely THE BEST AC SYSTEM I have ever owned!!! the fit , the finish, the output ALL 5 STARS!!! Totally happy with the unit , the buy, and the use of it!! j1mb0b

I installed one of these units on my "tiny house" two summers ago. I am an avid DIYer. I bout 450.00 worth of tools. (Vaccume pump, manifold, 410A flaring tool) Wow what a difference! My house is 264 Sq ft and within 3 hours it removed over three gallons of water. So quiet you hardly know it's there and way more effective than a window unit of the same BTU. It produces heat even on the coldest days. I live in Ohio so we do get some days in the teens and even then it produces heat. After owning a mini-split I am pretty sure I would never install central a/c in any home. With these you can you can control the temp in different rooms and no loss in the ducts.

I intentionally waited to do my review to see how the unit would hold up. I installed it myself and it's been flawless in South Louisiana's brutal heat. I'm fluent with high and low voltage circuitry and comfortable with HVAC systems. I found it fun and satisfying to install, however I'm not sure DIY is for everyone. The unit exceeded my expectations both for the quality and feel of the parts and how it cools. It punches way above it's weight when it comes to handling high humidity and temps. I'm very satisfied and will be buying 2 more this year. Oh, and I really like the remote. Adult size buttons that are easy to use and intuitive.
