Hammock came in a box, but not raped in plastic. Box was pretty much destroyed with oak piece hanging out of box. Hammock on backside was pretty dirty which was white, cleaned up pretty good, but it was supposed to be new. Frontside not as noticeable. I guess it is going to get dirty anyway, but I think there product would of been in a plastic bag or something. Over all the hammock is great and I would buy again, very high quality.
