The company was founded by Ben and Laura Harrison and inspired by the birth of their son, Jonas Paul. Jonas was born with a rare disorder, Peter’s Anomaly, that caused opacified corneas and glaucoma. Jonas Paul now has low vision thanks to 21 surgeries and the dedication of his loving parents. As Ben and Laura searched for fashionable eyeglasses for their son, they grew increasingly frustrated at the limited options for children. Ben and Laura decided to leave their careers to launch Jonas Paul with the mission of helping children feel beautiful in their glasses and providing sight to children in need with every purchase.
Since its founding in 2013, the company has been featured on NBC Nightly News, Sunday Today with Willie Geist, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Harvard Business Review and other publications, and has garnered numerous awards for its social responsibility and design.

My only complaint is that I wish there were more photos of different kids wearing the frames. I searched your instagram page and it was hard to know which frames the kids were wearing. It would be awesome if I could look at each frame on multiple kids straight from the website. Thanks!!

I am extremely happy with our purchase. The turn around time from when I submitted my order to when we received the glasses was so fast. I sent the order in over the weekend and by Friday we had the glasses in hand. They are so cute on my son and we paid 1/3 of the cost. The best part is knowing our purchase with this company helps others in need. I plan to shop here exclusively for my son's glasses in the future.

Our daughter needed glasses for the first time, 2 weeks before starting middle school. She was already a little nervous. The try on kit helped her narrow down exactly which frames she loved and gave her confidence. Which is a huge deal. We are extremely happy with Jonas Paul Eye wear.

I'm confused about my purchase because I couldn't figure out if the 2 frames I chose came with basic lenses or if lenses needed to be added to the cart seperately. I wish it would have been more clear from beginning what the base charge for frames is and if you have to pay more for lenses. I'm still not exactly sure if I needed to order 2 orders of the anti scratch lenses or not.
