Disappointed - 07/05/2020

Cant replace coils.. not in stock

Triton 2 is unusable because of no product. Likely switching to competing product if stock issue is not resolved very soon

Out of Stock

In order to vape and without an option for coil replacement the purchase of the TRITON II device looks like a mistake on my part. :(

Leaving Halo

I've been a steady customer for three years. I have to now find another place to get my vapes as the Triton II coils have been consistently out of stock for too long.

Serious Quality Issues That Haven't Been Addressed

I've been using these for years. Was a great product at one time! Each coil unit used to last for about a month. Now they barely last 2-3 days at most, and either leak back into the tank destroying the juice, flood the mouthpiece, or just burn up due to no liquid getting through. Awful... Looks like they're just interested in selling more of them, so now I'm looking for alternative vape pens entirely.

Out of stock too much/high rate of defects

I like the Triton 2 vape very much, but the coils are constantly out of stock. When I do manage to get a few, about 20 % are defective or burn out in a couple of days. I am at present looking locally for a different vape system I can get supplies for.

I have only had a good experience with the .75 coils. I tried the 1.2 coils once when the .75 weren't in stock and I didn't like them as well. This vape pen was designed for use with the .75 coils. I have found that as long as you let the coil soak with your e fluid for at least 5 minutes before vaping. Fresh and clean vape every time. I do wipe the connectors down (cotton swab dipped in alcohol) periodically. Coils seem to last quite a while.

When I first purchased my started kit, I had no problems with the coils; every coil worked without any problems. After running out of the starter kit coils, I purchased new coils and the problems began! I started getting that burnt taste with each new coil and found myself throwing away a lot of new coils. I got on the chat line with Halo to get some suggestions on what I could do and also looked at these reviews to see what others were doing. Of course, I ended up having to purchase new coils earlier than necessary. I don't remember if Halo suggested this but I know a few of you in the reviews suggested either putting oil in the white parts of the coils and/or soaking the coils in the oil first, so I decide to do so. Now, before I install a new coil, I will soak it in one of my oils that does not have a high NIC level (like a dessert oil) for about 10-15 minutes. It may not take this long but it seems, at least for me, to do the trick. I just cannot afford to replace coils so quickly plus I have gotten one of my sons to try vaping and we both use the Triton II. I want his experience with vaping to be positive too.

Have had no issues with the coils other than once when I was getting a burnt taste right when I put a new coil in my device but I’m assuming it was just a bad coil, all the other coils were fine and they last a decent amount of time!!

I found that the best flavor is to use these with a reactor battery set at 20w. only way to get what you want is with an adjustable battery

If the last box I used was the only thing to go on then it deserves this rating. Coils lasted an average of 2-3 days and I use 3 batteries at a time! I don't treat them any differently than others I've gotten before, which are much better. One of them actually burned my throat with the taste of some nasty burning plastic, so I had to throw it away. Yes, I waited about 10 minutes to use it first and did everything else I always do. I wish they'd get their quality control together with these coils since I have invested in about 5 Triton II batteries at this point and am very happy with their style and use!!!

Specifically these 1.2 coils. I ordered 3 packs of 5 on 5/20/2018 (that is 15 total) and I'm on my last one today. After going through a pack in less than a week, I followed every guide on priming/saturating these coils and -am extremely lucky- to see 2 or 3 days. So incredibly disappointed.

Very disappointing. I purchased the .75 ohm coils, which in the past have last me for almost 20 days, now I am lucky if I get 4 to 5 days. The burnt taste, the low vapor cloud, and not being able to taste the juice are my major complaints. The quality has definitely dropped. I hope Halo will take my review seriously and do something about it.

About half of the coils I use for my Triton II (0.75 Ohms) are duds, taste of burnt plastic, and have to be thrown out right away. I do wait at least 5 minutes for the e-juice to soak in and clean the device at every change, so it's down to the quality of the product, which seems to be bad.

Halo, I just wrote an amazing review on your .75 coils and low and behold I buy the 1.2 coils and they were definitely defected. Only 2 worked out of the entire pack. I'm never buying them again and I really hope the .75's will not have the same problem. Something's going on with the production of these! Please fix this! I really don't want to find a new product, but I also don't want to be throwing money in the trash. Literally.

After waiting two weeks for the .75 coils to be restocked (and spending a small fortune on Cue pods), I finally received my order.....two boxes of coils. And, I fully expected to get at least 10 weeks use from the ten coils. Wrong. The Triton II coils have always had a ridiculously short life as far as my experience goes, but the ones I received lasted about 3-4 days each. I find this inexcusable. I certainly will be searching for a new product.

These coils used to work really well, but now they suck big time! Out of a pack of five, you will be lucky to get one or two that actually work. The rest will be burnt-tasting from the get go. And yes, Halo, I am doing everything right: cleaning everything properly and waiting as long as two hours before using. I can assure you that it's the product and not the user that is the problem.

I concur with some of the other reviewers that these occasionally come with a metallic flavor right out of the package and that the lifetimes vary wildly. What I would add is that the failure modes also vary: sometimes they just peter out after five days or so, and sometimes they last until they start caramelizing the liquid. I find it perplexing, but at this point, I'm just going to have to buy two five-packs at a time and hope for the best.

I absolutely love these and my Triton ll. I saw a few reviews that said they were getting defects and I thought the same until I realized it was me. Now I make sure I drop 3 to 4 drops of e-liquid into each of the wick holes (little white holes along the sides) using my new coil. This prevents the coil from dry burning. And if for some reason it does taste burnt anytime during use, try loosening the coil some. I noticed that if I screw my coil in too much once I put the top back on, it also tightens the coil. So, it's getting screwed in too tight and isn't allowing air and it's making it taste like I need a new coil, but I actually don't. I wasted many coils this way. Once I figured these two things out I only need to buy these every 2 months or so. I hope I help others with this info. I love this thing, it compares to no other I've tried. Thanks Halo!

Why Trust Verified Reviews?

Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.

Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.

As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:

Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.

Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.

So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
