This belt is even better than the original. I'm very active and these belts allow me to move freely and confidently whether I'm doing parkour, rock climbing or out on the slopes. I have a black one I use that passes for business casual wear as it has a classic look to it. Adding the colored belts to shorts is the perfect accessory for showing a touch of fashion sense without looking like you're trying too hard. I travel a lot and it's nice to have one less thing to take off. Even the packaging of this product was top quality, I've repurposed the hangers they came with for displaying my martial arts belts and organizing my boxing gym equipment. The adjustability is like no other and got me comfortably through all those holiday dinners. The clip on this design is more firm and secure than the previous model, no matter how active. The only thing I can't say yet is that I've used it for a tourniquet but I'm sure it'd be good for that too. Hopefully you wont have to either! Stay active and enjoy!

The material is thin but strong. the buckle is great. the elastic belt loop needs to be about 2 to 3 inches more away from the buckle, it is right under my pant's belt loop.

This review should be considered in light of the fact that I have only worn this 1.25" belt a few times. I expect to be adjusting to its characteristics for a while. I find this narrower belt is a little more difficult to guide through its buckle. The buckle does not "snap" closed in the definitive way of the earlier 1.50" belt. However, it appears to stay closed just fine. This belt does fit the belt loops of some of my clothing better that the wider one. The elastic belt loop on the belt is welcome. This loop is in a fixed location. I am "between" sizes at the moment and ordered a size up from usual for me. Until I trim the belt I would be better served by a loop beyond my pants' first loop to control the excess length. The loop is probably fine with the belt length optimized. I do have accessory loops for the 1.50" belt if I need them. (I ordered spare loops as I anticipate losing some. They are independent of the belts and fly free every time I pull the belt from the pants. So far I still have all of them, but...) The part of this belt which doubles back on itself to secure the buckle to the belt extends farther than on my previous Betta belts, making for a thicker belt over a longer distance. I suspect I own, or have owned, a few pairs of slacks where that would be an issue at the first belt loop. Perhaps those are/were old school slacks. I have the impression that this part of the belt is a bit thicker than my 1.50" belts as well. No issues with the pants tried so far. I have to say that I appreciate both widths so far. Best features are the reliable elasticity and the continuous range of adjustment. I wear one of these as a work belt for all activities. I also hang my phone on it. No sign of wear or soiling so far. My previous "elastic" belt had to be stretched much farther to achieve the desired tension, sometimes leaving me with a long loose end. I can adjust the tension on the Bettas over much less length. I bought a couple for my brother to try. For those of you who admit the need, I find these work well with jeans that have a flexible, stretchy waist. Those jeans are comfortable, but the waist loosens up during the course of the day. I find the Betta belts allow you to cinch them up without discomfort.

Ordering was better than average for my online purchase experiences. Shipping and delivery were prompt and as expected. Hold onto the packaging until you decide whether you need it for storage. Once they had my email address I received some limited time discount codes. I could have had substantial savings on my order of the 1.25" belts if I had been better organized. I have not found the quantity of messages to be excessive yet. I am sensitive to this. I will be unsubscribing from a number of retailers as I catch up on email, but probably not Betta.
