Don't waste your money

Good in concept but it's poorly built. Unable to update firmware, app features don't quite work, poor accuracy, forget about it if you have to type in a password for wifi cause it doesn't allow for alpha. Save your money

All these issues can be addressed by a firmware update- which your model has now available for installation.

Of course you’ll need to be connected to wifi to discuss a load and install the firmware.

Disappointed

I was very excited when I first received the 3 watches purchased for my children. Initially the watches worked pretty good, but would often say “watch offline” so as to not work to full potential, ie. not allowing messages to be sent or received. I purchased 3 new SIM cards, as instructed by the company because of updates. A literal nightmare since, watches can’t receive calls (goes directly to a voicemail), continuously goes offline when away from the house. Although I’ve received many emails about troubleshooting, none have worked and I’m just tired of trying. I continue to waste money on the prepaid plans hoping for a resolution. Really frustrated and disappointed.

Pretty happy so far

Seems to be a quality product so far. Takes forever to charge though and the app isn't the greatest. But the call quality is very good.

Fast and easy ordering. And it was on sale. Unfortunately their fulfillment center sent me a sweatshirt instead of a watch. Customer service was very responsive and got a watch shipped out in a few kore days. Overall delivery time was a week instead of the 2 says I paid for. Oh well, mistakes happen

Worst Ever!!!

The absolute worst product and service. Not even worth a 1 star rating. I purchased two watches and they worked for 1 month. I had to purchase new SIM cards and was told I could keep my old numbers which was a lie. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Redpocket, lady could barely speak English and had her kids constantly interupting the phone call. The one guy that works for Angelwatch put all the blame on ATT. Do yourself a favor and go with the Gizmo from Verizon. Terrible product and even worse service!

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you've had with Red Pocket's service and their representative but please bear in mind that they are a different company and this review reflects poorly on us.  It's like leaving a bad review for Apple because you had a poor experience at AT&T.. 

On the plus side, we've had a major firmware update to address the recent changes made by mobile networks and have resolved all connectivity issues, now with a choice of going through AT&T (GSMA) or T-Mobile (GSMT), depending on which is more reliable in your area.

Once you have your SIM card activated, please follow these steps:

- Connect your Angel Watch™ to your home WiFi network (SETTINGS-WIFI)

- Check for critical firmware updates on your Angel Watch™ and update (SETTINGS-MORE-DEVICE INFO)

- Ensure you have VoLTE switched on (SETTINGS-MOBILE NETWORKS-VoLTE)- and do not switch it off by mistake!

- Check you're using your networks correct APN setting and select as below (SETTINGS-MOBILE NETWORKS-APN)
GSMT: fast.t-mobile.com
GSMA: Airvoice Wireless
Others: Search online for "(your network's) Android APN settings" and select from the available list.

- Reboot your Angel Watch™ (SETTINGS-REBOOT)
Add your personal number to the watch's Phonebook using the Angel Watch™ App.
Enter your number in the app in the correct format.  Include a 'plus' before your country code.  Use no spaces or dashes.
E.g. For the USA, use +1, area code and number, eg. +15551231234, or use + your country code and number, eg +447777123123

3 months old and doesn’t work

Watches didn’t work great to begin with now I have to buy new SIM cards after 3 months. Should have gone with the Gizmo from Verizon. No one in customer service answers the phone and they hang up on you after 3 minutes. Also sound quality isn’t great and GPS shows my kids down the street from their actual location.

Hi Mario,

Changing SIM cards was a requirement from AT&T, not us.  They made the change and this affected all children's smartwatch manufacturers.  We've provided a solution with T-Mobile which shouldn't have you facing any issues.

Regarding location, GPS is most accurate when outside.  When you checked the location and it showed your child was down the street, were you checking from indoors over wifi (where location is based on your router IP) or was it outside where it had a view to the satellites and pulled in GPS locating?

We'd love to earn an improvement on your rating and hope that our quick action and solution in the face of nationwide network changes could hold some merit with you. We'd love to help you and get Angel Watch working just as you had hoped it would.

Works fair, customer service fair to poor

On the positive we has an issue just barley out of warranty they worked with us. To get it exchanged took just over 1 month. Watch about always updates slow, reception is fair to ok, even outside. Then the Sim card company RedPocket, plan on at least 1 hr or 2 on hold. Then the Sim card issue (from GSMA to GAMT) Angel watch should have sent all their customers just send the new card, not have their customers jump thru hoops to get a new one. I got tired of the issues and bought a new Sim card. It's nice that the plan is cheap. It all comes down to... would I buy one again.... that's A BIG NO!

We’re sorry to hear that you feel like this. We were blindsided by AT&T too after they suddenly decided not to support third party wearable devices. Of course, we have no control or influence over what decisions they make. 

Having said that, we took action immediately to find a solution, which we did, that has turned out to be even better than the original one; and for a few weeks until we were able to get our own new SIM’s, we had to ask customers to order from the network directly. Inconvenient but temporarily unavoidable. 

Since around four days ago, we did receive them and they are now in stock. And we did send all of our customers an email with easy instructions on how to order a replacement.

The new GSMT service now supports Extended Range LTE which now increases your signal coverage by 2x and provides 4x better coverage in buildings and now also offers unlimited calling- still for only $10/month and are available on our store here.

Apologies for the inconvenience but it has turned out to be a very worthwhile one for the increased coverage you’ll be getting for a device where coverage matters so much.
