I have only opened the box to ensure the unit was not damaged in shipment and to make sure it worked. I placed a pot full of water on the unit and within 15 seconds, the water was warmer. I can't wait to try something else!

Loving this item, cannot believe how quick and easy it is to use. It literally surprises me each time I turn it on how fast it heats. Cold pans go to searing hot in a fraction of the time of any traditional cooktop. And yes, it does boil water in a minute or so. I've found this item to be very handy for soups, ramen dishes, and one of my own favorites is to quickly be able to boil eggs. My cast iron skillet loves this cooktop, it does great with searing steaks, porkchops, or chicken. My favorite thing is just that it's portable, mine has gone from between my home and my camper back and fourth and continued to perform flawlessly wherever I take it.

I totally love that I can bring water to a boil in one minute! I've used this to make mashed potatoes, and it was so easy to control the temperature of the water on a dime. I find myself grabbing this even though I have a gas range. Love it.

I love induction cooktops. They cook everything so much faster. I purchased a nuwave cooktop for 100.00 dollars 5yrs ago. I use it all the time. I decided I wanted another one so I got this one because I have the Avalon Bay airfryer which I love. It was much cheaper so I was a little worried. No worries it's great!!! If you want an induction cooktop you can't go wrong with this one!

I was anxious to try the Avalon Bay induction cooktop, as I have never used induction cooking. The first thing I tried was boiling water for tea. Cold water to a rolling boil in only 3 minutes using the highest setting (1800W)! Next, used the unit for pinto beans. I was in no hurry, so I used the temperature setting. I started with 195 degrees, thinking this was just below the boiling point. While pure water boils at 212-degrees, water with salt, pinto beans, and pork will boil at 195 degrees - in less than 5 minutes on this unit. I reduced the setting to 140 degrees. It took several hours at this setting, but I did not have to add any water. We have used the unit for pudding mix and stewed apples. Cooking controls are much better than our gas range, and the speed is incredible.

I have used air-n-water for several purchases. I received on defective product which had been discontinued. I received a no-hassle return and refund. All other purchases have been fine. I really like the details given for their products on the website, including manufacturer's owner's manuals and complete specifications.
