CrazyCap uses advanced 278nm deep UV LED to effectively sterilize water. See the charts above showing a significant reduction of bacteria in the contaminated water in both Normal and Crazy Mode Sterilization. The spectrum (260nm to 280nm) of light is found to have maximum disinfection capability.
Thanks to the recent development in LED technology, this special spectrum of light can now be produced without using toxic Mercury. When the Deep UV light enters the microbial cell, it destroys the active core (nucleic acids). Cells without the active core will no longer be viable.

My cup doesn’t smell and my water tastes great. No smell in my water bottle at all, not even of chlorine. Just clean, tasty water. I find myself drinking more water because of how clean it tastes. As a bonus, the HydroCap can be set to light up and remind you that you need to drink every 30 minutes.

I purchased the HydroCap (cap only) for a water bottle I already had. The product was very nicely packaged and the instructions were clear and concise. After charging the Hydrocap, I put it on my old water bottle and set it to clean. The UV took all the old smells out of my old, and beloved, water bottle and I've filled it up twice as much as normal because the water now tastes so good. Love the product!

I bought this for a trip to the Upper Mustang region of Nepal. Allowed me to use public fountain water in villages as well as river water. Met up with a travel companion for the 2nd half of the trip who had "Delhi Belly". I was able to use my HydroCap to make sure he had safe water for the rest of the trip. He got some meds from a local herbalist that helped him get over it in a few days. He is definitely going to buy one for future travel. It is so easy and convenient and a small backup batter will allow for a recharge if going on an extended journey. Get one and you won't have to pack as much water or deal with contraptions that are heavy and take a lot of effort. Bring some paper coffee filters and a collapsible cone if you need to purify unclear water or remove particles.

I love my new HydroCap. It fits perfectly on my wide mouth HydroFlask trail series and gives me peace of mind that my drinking water is safe. It has also kept my flask from getting smelly.

Wonderful product. I have a different UV light purifying bottle and proprietary cap and that one I can leave alone for several days, even a week and there’s no smell with the bottle. With this cap however and a 32 ounce Hydroflask I noticed a smell after a few days. Probably because of the extended neck of the bottle and the hidden divot in the cap due to design. It goes away with a quick rinse of the bottle and cap. Great peace of mind of a clean bottle nonetheless and I love the portless charger.
