CrazyCap uses advanced 278nm deep UV LED to effectively sterilize water. See the charts above showing a significant reduction of bacteria in the contaminated water in both Normal and Crazy Mode Sterilization. The spectrum (260nm to 280nm) of light is found to have maximum disinfection capability.
Thanks to the recent development in LED technology, this special spectrum of light can now be produced without using toxic Mercury. When the Deep UV light enters the microbial cell, it destroys the active core (nucleic acids). Cells without the active core will no longer be viable.

Beautiful product that works as intended. I just wish the filter actually made a noise as it connected to the cap it also makes a noise because of how dense the filter is (purist). I love this product nevertheless.

Sadly the light indicator has a nudge which kind of ruins the premium experience also this being a new product, one that was expensive to buy and had to wait for a long time. The filter I used (Artesian) tends to make a weird noise when sucking water through it. No biggie there, but it's noticeable. Other than that it works as advertised so it's an acceptable, if a bit expensive, product.

I brought the bottle to use on tap water in bangladesh. I did not get sick once while using the bottle. Every other time i got sick from the tap water there. Happy with the product. Great for emergency situations where filtered water is not available. Also saves plastic in a country that does not have good recycling infrastructure.

Color codes for programming get a bit confusing. Should come with USB-to-Wall Outlet connection. Charging cap stays yellow no mater how long I leave it charging.

This is the sturdiest I’ve ever owned. You’re not going to scratch this easily; and it’s well weighted so that it won’t simply tip over- full OR empty- when the wind blows. I trust it; it does what it says; and, it works well. Large enough to quench but small enough to carry on a backpack, slant bag or Loctote.

I am at your mercy as whether the water is clean or not. A regular meter does not detect everything but the TDS tester does not show any improvement.

It does make the water taste different. More neutral, I would say. Seems like this generation of products has a problem of charge capacity once the charge drops to 0, but the customer service for replacement was great.

Kristina has been great and accommodating. I provided all relevant info about the order in the first email and she responded soon afterwards. She shipped both the cap and it's charger just in case both of mine were broken. Great experience overall.

This water bottle is so great and I am so glad that I got it. It’s perfect for college when I can’t wash a bottle every night, the purification takes care of that and there’s no smell or grime at all! I’m so happy with this product.

I finally went on a couple of hours hike so I could test my new CrazyCap PRO. I'm already familiar with the CrazyCap2 (that I love), now let's test the PRO. 1) I love the fact that it won't turn on unless it's completely screwed on the bottle. No chance to get some UV rays in the eyes. 2) The fit is perfect with the older bottle 3) It might be because it's newer but I felt that the battery lasts a bit longer than the CrazyCap2 ? This is not verified however. About efficiency, well I'm not a scientist but what I know is that I am VERY sensitive to bad water. My stomach does not tolerate unclean water at all. Even tap water from rural town can sometimes make me sick, that's why the CrazyCap is so important to me. With the new PRO, I've never felt any stomach pain even after drinking more than 2 liters of water from a stream and a small river. I can really say that CrazyCap Pro is THE easiest and safest way to drink water in the wild. Depending on the time you spend in the wild and on how often you use the CrazyCap, it might be a good idea to bring the included charger with you. Since it's a USB plug, a power bank or a small solar panel is perfect to recharge the CrazyCap.
