Working with Jinelle Barrow and the Veritas team was a great experience. Jinelle was very responsive and stayed in touch with me through the whole refinance process. It only took 3 weeks from the time we submitted our application to the day we closed. I worked with Veritas on my original mortgage and it was such a good experience that is why I went back for my refinance and had an even better experience. I would highly recommend Veritas Funding and specifically Jinelle Barrow for any mortgage needs.

We went with Veritas Funding solely because we got a $4000 credit towards our home for using them because they were the home builder's (Perry Homes) preferred lender. The experience may be different if you were using them just as lenders on an unrelated home, but because of the credit I felt like they knew they "Had us in the bag" because no other lenders could really beat their price because of their agreement with Perry. As we were looking into the loan and waiting for the interest rate we wanted to get, they did not update us on daily rates unless we asked, they did not crunch numbers to find us the best rates unless we asked, and they did not try to earn/keep our business. They pretty much told us straight up that "you can't really beat our pricing because of the credit" and from that point forward, they did nothing to go out of their way to help us. They only did the minimum unless we asked them to do more. My experience in the past with other lenders is that they try to get you good rates, follow the market for you, and update you when things change in your favor. Every time we talked to them, because I called them, they simply told me where the market was and advised that we lock the loan in so that they could hurry and get another loan done, not so that they could help us get a good rate and feel comfortable with what we were getting. I would not use them again without the pricing being significantly better than competitors.

The team was very attentive to our needs and situation. We were in different locations (the group of us applying for the loan) and Veritas was most helpful addressing our needs and concerns. They were most helpful every time we called with even with the most trivial questions. Best of all they were able to get us a great interest rate.
