We are living in a 40 yr old condo which was cold and drafty. We were horrified to remove the drywall and insulation to find the fiber board siding, to which the vinyl siding was nailed, had many holes, some the size of saucers! Moisture had been getting is as evidenced by the black mold on the back of the insulation panels.

We used Foam it Green to seal the moisture and cold out. It took some time to set up the plastic to protect the furniture but it was not difficult. It dried quickly and people could come back into the room in 1 hour. Now our condo is tasty warm and DRY! This is great stuff. Don't hesitate to use it. Customer service was great, we got the smallest kit for our 3 walls but had plenty left. Make sure to buy a respirator mask ($30) if you don't already have one.

I was hesitant to take on the job of using closed cell foam to insulate our crawl space but the estimate from a local professional was beyond reach. Then I discovered Foam it Green.

It was clear from their web site that they were a competent, professional outfit and that they believed in, and were willing to support, the average homeowner as he tackled the job he'd been told should be left to contractor$. It certainly helped too, that they received a 4.5 out of 5 star rating on Amazon.

I decided to take the plunge and ordered the 202 kit. I guess my biggest surprise was the ease and the speed with which I worked. The nozzle/gun was easy to operate and I was quickly able to arrive at a consistent depth of green foam (the color tells you you're getting the right mix from the 2 tanks).

In the end, I was thrilled with the results. I was able to cover a considerable amount of surface and was even able to seal to the walls the vapor barrier I had used to cover the crawl space's dirt floor (big win). In fact, I was so happy with the final product that I used the included gift card ($50 towards an additional purchase over $250)to buy another 202 kit!

I chose the Foam It Green (FIG) product for a couple reasons. I knew I wanted to go with a closed cell spray foam insulation and my research on the internet (Amazon reviews and the FIG website) drove me to FIG primarily due to the rave reviews your customers gave the product and positive comments about your customer service. A 7x24 support offering is unheard of although I did not need to utilize the service offered...read on. I've worked in customer service for more than 20 years. I don't think I've ever experienced customer service like Linda and your team provides. From the time I started to place my order on line (and did not complete the order) Linda called me the next day to ensure everything was okay and I had what I needed to make my decision. Her follow up e-mail's etc.

Your people provided me an e-mail update last Wednesday after I placed my order two days eariler stating high order volumes had caused some delay filling my order and when I got home Friday afternoon there was my FIG order sitting in front of my garage. That's pretty awesome.

I spent a half day preparing my basement for application of the product following the instructions provided. Your documentation package was well structured and very informative as was the online videos I had reviewed back when I was evaluating your product. I found the "Don't do this" pamphlet included with the order very helpful. Whomever prepared your documentation package did a great job. Although it's redundant in many ways it drives home the importance of following the instructions to ensure a successful product experience.

I spent about 3 hours applying the product up until about 9PM and realized I had about half the product left in the tanks so I quit for the night. All I did was lube the gun trigger and gun tip with the provided gel pack and installed a new nozzle. When I returned the next morning I pulled the trigger and was literally up and foaming with no prep! I had absolutely no issues throughout the entire process. The product went on great, looks great and the 602 kit coverage was very good.
I have a walk out basement I'm finishing and because more than half my basement is underground and the back of my house faces the southwest, my insulation needs were not that significant as my basement temperature from the heart of winter to the heart of summer stays pretty consistent. My primary objective with the FIG product was to seal all my box sill plates and down my concrete walls to insulate below the frost line. So getting the R7 factor with a 1" FIG application and to seal off passages for bugs and insects and to prevent condensation penetration. Job prep and foam application took me 1-1/2 days start to finish. Following a bit of trimming I have left where the foam rose above the studs and I'll be ready for drywall!

Keep doing what you're doing and your business will continue to prosper. You're team is doing everything right!

Experience: To all the people who are hesitant to try a do it yourself spray foam project, keep reading. I too read lots of reviews when considering a DIY spray foam job. Some said it was hard to do, it didn't work well or cover as much as stated.....Forget all that. Read the simple instructions and yes follow them and you will be fine. I sprayed the rim joist of an old farmhouse and also sprayed some walls in a new construction project. I actually did them a few days apart, followed the shut down instructions, and restart was a breeze. I was actually surprised of how much coverage I got and how easy it was to spray. I would much rather spray foam than cut and mess with fiberglass batons any day, it was actually kind of fun!

Benefits: customer service was top notch whether it was via live chat or a phone call, I used both.
love the fact that it completely eliminated the air leaks.

If you ever had doubts that this was a job you could do yourself, don't give it another thought! This was every bit as easy as they said it would be. I read all the customer reviews, watched almost all the videos and went for it! Following the instructions I did 600 ft without a hitch. But don't do as I did and forget to put the Vaseline (provided) on the goggles especially if you are doing an overhead job, after a while you won't see much! . I was very nervous about getting the job done right sooooo..... I also forgot to pull the hood up on the Tyvek suit (also provided) for the first part of the job consequently I look like I have lice but hey, my place is GREAT!!! By the end of the job I could feel the temperature drop! There were more than enough nozzles provided, I had plenty left over. The hardest part was dealing with wearing a respirator (necessary) and getting the tanks up the stairs!
And if you are wondering, the "lice" are coming out slowly and yes, I did check the MSDS's (provided) and I'm good, no inhalation or skin contact and it set too quickly for absorption to be an issue! :-)
I highly recommend this product and wouldn't hesitate to do this job again.

I did the research, settled on Greenfoam and was very satisfied with my experience. I was spraying my homes metal roof with wood slats. I started with the fan tips but by day two, went with the bare tip due to higher coverage, longer working life between tips, and more spray flexibility. I put a rubber band on the trigger safety since the accidental discharging was not a concern. A tube of Vaseline was carried in my pocket to lube tips. I used a laser pyrometer on the roof and tanks prior to spraying in insure my temps were within specs. Due to no standing headroom or floor decking, I was pretty exhausted after 90min of humping tanks in a squat position and stepping on floor beams only so, I just dropped the sprayer, left the tanks open, and went for a shower. I know the instructions suggest closing the tanks first but, I didn't want any valve leak issues. The foam expansion was very manageable and extra layers are very easy to apply. I finished on day three and can already tell the difference inside the house. My home is 110yrs old and feels like a modern home in terms of inside temperature regulation and sound insulation. I will be ordering a smaller kit in spring to touch up a few spots...Very Happy with the kit. I had 2 tips left over which was perfect.

After ordering and setting up my spray foam kit, it is intimidating for the uninitiated. My wife looked at me like I was a crazy person, but with 2" of foam on our rim joist in the basement (partial basement), she now sleeps more comfortably. I know I will be ordering the 602 kit when I refinish the laundry room and the den next year. I was also initially worried because most people said that they couldn't get the system to restart after stopping halfway, i.e. the next day. But if you follow the instructions it's not hard...I can't say much about rocket science or science in general since I'm a Molecular Biologist. But it isn't difficult. I'm hoping that this year my heating bills won't be absolutely insane compared to last year. Overall, doing my own sprayfoam was an extremely rewarding experience, and extremely easy. It makes me wonder why some people pay $8-10/sqft for sprayfoam insulation to be installed.

After trying to hire a company to insulate and no one would even consider a job as small as mine I decided to check into doing it myself. After using the product I am completely satisfied.

The overall experience was excellent! My project was to insulate the header board between the foundation and floor in my Crawlspace. I was originally going to use rigid foam board, but quickly realized I would easily have to spend 20-40 hours custom cutting and fitting every board. Even though more expensive then rigid foam board, spray foam was going to be the fastest solution with the cleanest look. I did a google search and Foam-it-Green popped up as one of the results. After reviewing multiple vendors sites, I concluded that Foam-it-Green was the best bang for the buck. They offered everything needed all in one location, and had the best prices. Ordering the spray foam kit with all the extras was easy and straight forward. After submitting my order, I received an email letting me know it had shipped along with the tracking info. Overall time was only a few days from purchase to delivery. Everything I ordered was nicely packed, and clear instructions provided. Everything worked perfectly, and I was able to knock out my Crawlspace in less than 30 minutes. The outcome is far better then it would have looked with rigid foam board. I'm very pleased with my overall experience and will definitely be back for my next insulation project!

I'll admit that I was skeptical of the do it yourself foam kits. But I am so pleased that I went with Foam It Green. From the time I placed my order, I knew I chose the right company. They kept me updated on my order and delivered ahead of schedule.
Once I opened the package though...my skepticism came back when I saw all of the extra spray nozzles that were included, thinking that this would be a clogging up nightmare from begining to end. However, once again I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of use of Foam It Green. The instructions were simple and the "how to" videos I watched before hand were spot on. I was able to complete coverage of roughly 1450 square feet in about 2,1/2 hours with very little mess. Oh and the extra spray nozzles I mentioned before.. I never had to change one.
I have allready and will continue to recomend Foam It Green. Great job to you all and "Thank you"
Shane.

Why Trust Verified Reviews?

Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.

Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.

As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:

Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.

Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.

So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
