We received the kangaroo form for the cat kit. The directions are not very helpful either. We had to look up a video to try to figure out how to do the felting.

The first one was cute. Then it became disappointing, which made me regret the purchase. And yes, we love Mad Libs as a rule. This was about school dances, boys, and other media saturated, socialite, boy-focused topics. I think Rainbow should reconsider carrying this particular title.

This product is slightly deceptive in it's description. It does does not come as an actual book. You need to cut it out and put it all together. It does say, "after constructing, each book displays six to eight scenes." However, I interpreted that to mean after the child puts the pieces on it would then display their scene. It comes as one big felt piece. You need to cut out each scene AND individual piece. If you want it as a book you need to sew it together, and if you want pockets to store the pieces, you need to sew those on as well. Also, I'm not sure how well the pieces will stick (I haven't cut mine apart yet) since it's all made of felt. They may need Velcro attached to the back. I am not a sewer so all of this disappoints me. My plan is to cut it all apart and to put it in a Ziploc bag instead of making it into a book. It is cute, and I do think my daughter will enjoy it. I just wish the description went into detail about what the "construction" actually meant. If I would've known all of this I would've spent a little more money on a preassembled quiet book.
