So far so good. The written information said to get a waterproof breathable cover yet when I asked customer service where to find one she said the cover was already on it and it didn't need to be waterproof. So I felt a disconnect between the written instructions and input from customer service

To clarify, we recommend using a mattress protector to lengthen the lifetime of your mattress topper. However, A mattress protector is not essential , as the topper does come with a removable cover that can be washed. We hope this answers any questions you may have. Take care.
