The custom framed chalkboards are exactly what I needed and arrived exactly as described. I ordered 3 chalkboards. One was damaged, and this was remediated quickly by Corkboard.com sending a new one.
The mounting system makes sense. A french cleat is used - one half is mounted to the wall and the other half is attached to the back of the chalkboard. You then simply hang it and slide slightly left and right to center.
Measurements are precise! I needed the chalkboards to be exactly (no more than) 23" wide and 36" tall. They came at exactly that width and height. The width was probably 22 15/16" which I respect, because it's much better to have it be ever so slightly smaller and fit correctly than to be too large for the space! (I had shared the details with Corkboard before, with pictures, so they would understand where it had to fit.)
The boards are durable and magnetic just like those you find at large school or university. They have a nice even surface so that you can write hard or soft and the chalk will distribute evenly, and you can stick things to the board with magnets.
They even sent some chalk, magnets and some erasers to get started.
Personal recommendation: microfiber cloths work very well as erasers and are easy to rinse and wash. You need to clean them more often than an eraser, but they are easier to clean - rinsing them means less dust in the air.
