First and foremost 2 stars is because the size is not correct. I needed 36 inch by 21 inch, but the ACTUAL measurements are 37 1/2 by 21 1/2, does not fit any of my cabinets. *Note from Seller*: "We do not manufacture a size 36 x 21 mat. You must choose a size that is closest to your cabinet size WITHOUT going over. The closest size we have listed in our size drop down is 36 5/8 x 21 7/8 which can flare open up to 37 1/4 x 22 1/4. This is shown in the "minimum" column on the size chart as well as in the ordering drop down menu. Your cabinet must be, at a minimum, the size listed, or larger, or it will not fit. Since your cabinet is slightly over that, there is no wiggle room and you must size down in both the width (left to right) and depth (front to back) of the mat. If you have a 36" x 21" cabinet inside, we recommend the next size down: 33 5/8 x 18 7/8 which can flare open up 34 1/4 x 19 1/4. Most kitchen cabinets are between 22 and 24 inches deep and bathroom cabinets are 19 to 22 inches deep. We manufacture two lines of mats: some with kitchen depths in varying widths and some in bathroom depths in varying widths."

Nicely made, and a perfect fit. This is a great product, in that not only does it provide protection from potential leaks or spills, but it also cleans up the look underneath my kitchen sink, as previous owners of the house had subjected it to water under there and it damaged the cabinet floor quite a bit, so the Xtreme Mat really gives a fresh start and protects from any more future damage from taking place.

I was going to buy from Amazon and called XTREME to verify the size. Their customer service person was very nice and knowledgeable about their product. She told me the price was the same, free shipping and came with a free water sensor. Got it in 3 days and it looks great. I have purchased both colors for bathroom and kitchen remodels. This is such a smart product to use. My plumber loves them! Spend $50 to protect your new cabinets and the possibility of damage to lower areas. Such a great product. Wish it was available in white.

My husband and I just had our kitchen renovated with custom kitchen cabinets and hardwood floors throughout our main floor living area. We have had the worst luck with water leaks over the years. You name it, it leaked. I saw ads for this product on Facebook and it seemed like it was something that was made for us. The correct size for our kitchen sink area was not listed so I sent an email and got a very quick response. The ideal size was recommended and I ordered one. It came quickly and is of good quality. I would have given this mat 5 stars but our water pipes come up from the floor and have an attached flange. We had to use a door knob drill bit to make the mat go around the pipes. It was a little difficult, but we followed the instructions and it was a perfect fit. I just wish there was a way we could have the mat without drilling a hole in the mat and sealing it with silicone. I hope we never have to find out if this mat/sensor work, but I feel better knowing we are protecting our investment. I will be ordering more for our bathrooms next.

Very sturdy, nicely made. Word of caution about sizing: I measured the size of my cabinet flooring from wall to wall and ordered the mat that matched the inches of my floor. Because the sides of the mat flare out at the top, the mat is about 3 inches too big for the cabinet. I should have ordered the smaller size. I retrofitted the mat like I read someone else did by cutting down the middle of the mat and overlapping the two halves and taping them together. Not a great fix, but it?ll work. Seller Response: "Patti, we're sorry the mat didn't fit. We wish you had contacted us to find a better fit before cutting the mat; we never recommend this solution except in rare occasions. The dimensions listed on the mat are an inch smaller than the top of the mat because the side walls can flex inward about an inch for a snug fit on different cabinet sizes. The dimensions listed are the smallest size it can flex to fit but it can also open up about an inch more to fit slightly larger cabinets. There should never be a 3 inch difference between the measurement and the mat-this may have been an error in ordering or fulfillment. We always suggest going by the measurements and not the product SKU because a 36" inch cabinet, for example, is measured by the manufacturer from the outside corners and that's how it gets the name "36" inch sink base cabinet"...Since the interior of that 36" cabinet would be 1-3 inches smaller; we label our mat the CM-36 and "36" inch cabinet mat" but its measurements are 3 inches smaller (about 33" or so) to fit the INSIDE of a 36" cabinet. If anyone has any doubts about what size to order or about a size you received please don't hesitate to reach out to us to find the best solution and get the best fit and best protection."

I have had several types and brands of shelf liners in my cabinets over the past twenty years. Then when I came across these - they reminded me of WeatherTech matts that I have in my vehicle. These Xtreme Mats are fantastic! I have now purchased them for all of my cabinets in the house. They fit perfectly and you can tell that they are first class all the way the minute you open the box. They even have the spot built into the mat for the water sensor - which is also a must have. I have never seen anything this good before and the price is very reasonable.
