As stated my mom uses them after the remodel and cabinets are expensive and to avoid leak damage is well worth the price, I would also suggest making them even deeper.

This simple white mat is perfect for beneath my bathroom sink. I wanted to make sure a potential leak would never stain the new wood for our recently renovated home. I wish I could have customized the size of the mat. Otherwise, it gives a clean, elevated look.

I chose Xtreme Mats because I have a new home and I want to protect the new condition under all of my sinks. No one ever thinks a pipe will leak, or a bottle of liquid will fall over and spill, but it does! And the particle board in the bottom of your cabinets is NOT waterproof or stain proof. Replacing and/or repairing water damage in a cabinet is VERY expensive, too.

I chose this product because not only is it very durable, it has a lip all the way around it to hold in liquid in case of a leaky pipe or spilled bottle of liquid. I had a liner prior to the mat, but I was always worried that liquid would run to the edge, and then under the liner. The Xtreme Mat acts like a shower pan, holding in the liquid until you can tend to it.
