This heater is overkill for my 5 person Spa but after 3 El-Cheapo in line heaters from China failed in 2 months, it looks like this one will do the job once I get the pump timing and temperature adjustments set right.

Has heated our pool up beautifully. 89 f after a week of sun, cloud, rain, drizzle, showers. Typically the pool would be chilly right now but it's gorgeous. Yes heating with gas would cost less by the month but with the lower startup cost of this heater combined with the Vancouver above ground pool season only being 3 months or so, it would take years to realize any savings going gas. Would recommend this style of heater to anyone on the wet/west coast
