I didn't think there was anything that could keep the wasps from congregating on our log home. NBS discourages even wasps, and has stopped mosquitos, flies, and ladybugs from hanging out on the porch.

Before using the NBS30 repellent we often had wasps and carpenters ants on the deck rails and around the deck area. Haven’t seen any since applying as part of the Q8 oil treatment.

My review of this product is based on the immediate results that I experienced after application as an additive to Transformation log and timber stain. The citronella scent was very strong and seemed to work the carpenter bees into a frenzy, as application was made during peak carpenter bee season in south Alabama. The stain with NBS30 was applied on Saturday. The next day I noticed a pile of sawdust on one of our logs. A fresh hole, right through the treated stain! However, when I get home every afternoon during bee season, I'm normally met by a number of the nasty borers. Monday afternoon, there was a lone carpenter bee there to greet me. I'm not thoroughly impressed based on the fresh hole bored into our log the day after application but am encouraged by the apparent reduction in the number of bees "hanging around" two days after application. I'll remain hopefully optimistic with the sight of the fresh hole weighing heavily on my mind.
