I live in an apartment. The over the counter top filer for the kitchen sink is good. I used it to wash my food - veggies and other washable fruits and rice, beans etc. not for drinking water.
The shower filer is amazing. However the showerhead placement is so low when it's placed in its placement. I'm 5'51/2. I actually raise it up and it helps. I love both filtration systems.
