My water isn't that dirty, but I can smell chlorine, and it doesn't taste that great after sitting in the glass for a little bit. With the U9000, the water taste great and I no longer taste chlorine.

Had a plumber do the installation even though the instructions for self-installation are easy to follow. Make sure you check the filter housing as ours was a little loose and had a small water leak. Once tightened, no more leaking.

My apartment is in a very old building with very heavy water. My main concern was a large supply of clean water for plants cats, and aquariums without having to boil gallons at a time (and of course having water to drink is nice too). This filter was an absolute sinch to install, and all my water testing has confirmed that what comes out of the filter is clean and pure
