The heavy duty buttons will outlast the pants they are sewn to and possibly the fellow wearing the pants. I can’t believe the buttons are 6 for $.99. Nothing is $.99 anymore.

I have been buying suspenders for my husband for 10+ years. Recently, while visiting my brother and his wife, my husband wore a very sporty and distinct pair of suspenders with jeans and a perfectly laundered dress shirt. (He looked rather spiffy.) My brother, who is a "clothes horse, " was immediately taken by the look. He asked where my husband had found the suspenders. My husband hasn't bought clothes for himself since we married, 50 years ago. I told my brother I would get some for him. Soon after getting home, I placed an order for three pairs of suspenders and buttons to be shipped directly to him. Within a few days, he messaged me that he had gotten the package and was very pleased. I can't wait to see him wearing them.

The suspenders serve two purposes: they keep my husband's pants from to an embarrassing level and they give him a snappy look. Although he's nearing 80 and has lost his erect posture, he often gets complimented by younger men for looking sharp.

I’ve been a brace enthusiast for many years. (Braces have buttons, suspenders have snaps). Ergo I’ve sewed buttons onto dozens of pants. These buttons are slightly smaller than I’ve been using, and have a slick surface, so they’re very easy to slip through the tabs, while holding just fine.
