Very nice product, seals very good around ears and can be recommended to other pilots. .

Purchased these to replace the ear seals on a pair of model 27s I just got. These seals are so much nicer than the standard foam seals. Super comfortable and provide a better seal.. Comfort Better sealing Quality construction. Nothing

These installed easily, which is strange considering some other reviews I read, and work great. They give a much better fit than the old worn out foam ones I had.. .

Our employees demand these ear seals over the foam ones. :-) On the rare occasion that we have to order a new head set I also order a pair of these seals to go with it. They last for years even with daily use.. Comfort. Durability. Affordability. . If they ever get a crack or hole they sure make a mess. But in all our years of using these - (probably 18 years) we have only had a couple to actually rupture.

Not any quieter than the foam seals (in my experience) but much more comfortable. When they get old they start to get goopy and leak - I replaced my worn seals with these (exact fit on my 10-30's) with success. I say, get these for your headset, and use the foam ones for any spares - back seat positions - to save some cash. . Comfortable, exact fit. . Price, not any quieter in my experience.

I was able to easily find what I needed on the Sky geek website, and found the price to be very reasonable. Delivery was faster than I expected. Very pleased with the product.. A perfect match to the factory originals.

The original DCCI 18316G-01 Foam-Filled Ear Seals (dated 0289) on my DCCI Model 27S Straightaway Hearing Protector finally bit-the-dust while the remainder of the well-designed and ruggedly-built product was still service-quality after 20+ years in-the-field. I decided to improve upon the hearing protector's wear-ability "comfort-factor" by replacing the original foam-filled ear seals with the newer gel-filled ear seals. Google/Shopping identified SkyGeek as not only having the best overall ***delivered*** price but also as the most recommended company in terms of seller rating for the DCCI 40863G-02 Comfort Gel Undercut Headset Ear Seal - Pair. Beware of the other fly-shops that advertise lower product pricing only to sting you at check-out with exorbitant shipping & handling (S&H) pricing making the ***delivered*** price higher than SkyGeek's comparable price. At the check-out, I selected SkyGeek's budget-minded $3.62 S&H rate for the "USPS 1st Class-No Tracking" option. Much to my delight, my new ear seals arrived in just 3 days and also had an associated 22-digit USPS tracking number that allowed me to confirm carrier routing/progress at USPS.com! Delivery service at its geeky-finest! Finally, while the gel-filled ear seals were a tad difficult to install by an uncoordinated Geek like me, the exceptional wearing comfort of the gel-cushions around my ears made the $13.90 price differential of foam vs. gel a no-brainer decision. Trust me on this! . ? Exceptional wearing comfort of gel vs. foam filled ear seals ? Added cost for gel-comfort is a no-brainer even for Geeks ? Includes SkyGeek's reputation for rock-bottom pricing with exceptional customer service at no additional cost ? Another example that upholds the David Clark Company Inc.'s fine reputation for product quality, durability and reliability for many years of assured serviceability and long service-life in the critical protection arena of loss-prevention of a person's delicate and very sensitive hearing ? Other products in this category may look similar on the outside but may exhibit discomfort, lower technical ratings and reduced service life that is synominous with low-budget offshore manufacturing often found in other hearing protector products of inferior quality due to poor design, questionable manufacturing oversight, inferior assembly processes leading to a "QA" step that may ***not*** stand for Quality Assurance ? NOTE: The reader of this product review is free to consider possible two-word replacements for "QA" that inject a little sarcasm/humor in an otherwise non-exciting (whereby unremarkable) review that would most-likely be quickly forgotten and not passed-on to your friends, coworkers at the bench and in the field and management staffing in those fancy boardrooms ? Yes, the DCCI products carried by SkyGeek make for the ultimate experience in the search, procurement and fielding of required high-precision and quality products that bring many years of reliable and as-expected service by the demanding aviation industry. ? Just a tad difficult to stretch and seat the ear seal's perimeter over the ear-shell's groove of the hearing protector's lobes for proper installation ? Note that "a tad difficult" is neither overly-difficult nor anywhere close to being impossible ? Installation of both ear seals required approximately 15 minutes by an uncoordinated Geek like me who has a physical d.i.s.Ability (my Do It Sitting ABILITY) with peripheral neuropathy and limited dexterity caused by a degenerative neuromuscular disorder that has me fitted with round legs (my wheelchair), i.e. a worst-case scenario for this task... LOL!!! ? In other words, you CAN successfully install both ear seals within a reasonable amount of time and probably much faster than my best-time above

Sky Geek had the best price and a nice shipping option where I didn't have to pay a shipping cost that is over half the price of the order. $3 and change for US Post Office and I received the package in 3 days. Typical David Clark high quality. Big improvement to original H10-30 ear seals both in comfort and noise cancellation. A real pain to install. Lots of pulling and stretching. When one cup of the seal was successfully installed, it would pop out when attempting to stretch it to install it to the other side of the assembly. It took close to an hour to install both ear seals.

Very helpful. Very well made. Hard to install

I have these on the original David Clark headset I bought in 1991 and they are in great shape. I bought these to replace some worn out foam ones on a set of David Clarks I bought at an estate sale.. .
Andrew - 06/28/2011
This is a factory part, and though a little tricky to get on, they fit my H10-20 perfectly. They make the 30 year old headset look brand new.. .
Anthony - 06/22/2011
Was certainly impressed as to how soon I received the product upon ordering. Have since flown with my new seals, and it almost feels as if I have a brand new headset. Keep up the great work skygeek! . Extremely comfortable.. None.

exactly what I expected and very fast shipping. .
Why Trust Verified Reviews?
Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.
Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
