After getting the SureCall Flare SC-Poly-DT-O-Kit with external omni-directional antenna installed and working I've experienced much improved signal strength from my smartphone. About -90 to -105dB before and -86 to -65dB after installation. I think I got a good deal on the equipment - there was a nice discount applied, and the grounding cable and clamp were included as a "special" and shipping was free. Installation wound up costing almost the same as the equipment, but I couldn't do it, so I purchased it too. One thing to consider: Info on the website and in the instructions packaged with the unit all say that the external antenna must have 25 (or 20 or 30) feet of separation from the booster. I was concerned because I wasn't sure I had enough distance from roof to booster if other positioning requirements were met (clear line of sight, presence other structures, materials through which signal must travel, other cautions). When I asked the installer about the distance specification, he said the physical separation between the components wasn't the issue; it was the length of the cable that connected them, which had to be at least 20 or 25 feet in length. He set it all up and tested it, confirmed that it worked, and was done. 50 feet of cable came with the equipment, so that was covered. The antenna is less than 15 feet from the booster, but he said it worked, and as long as it does I will take word for it. TL;DR It works, it was within my budget, and the installation was quick and very professional. I call that a win.
