The adapter is well built, and is great on RG58 or 59. I'm also using it on an LMR400, and had to be very careful about making sure the connector had good alignment with the jack and was thoroughly strain relief'ed. Given that SMB has no locking mechanism, not much else that could be done. Problem with the smb design, not the product. Vendor was dandy

It was what I needed to hook antenna to booster but not booster to internal antenna. Internal antenna is hardwired. But I'm satisfied with this product.
