Nice scanner, fast and easy to use ... but what a nightmare to get it in Europe, way too US centric at the moment to get 5 stars. Another example, impossible to fill personal data if you live outside of USA (forget about fax too), only qwerty keyboard, etc. Shame because the product is really great

The Raven scanner is fast, documents scan immediately and look and save well. No need for wires across my desk to my computer, completely wireless except with a power cord. I have faxed documents without using my phone line, faxed right from the cloud. The one thing that I wish it had was a different sound when it is "caught" to be scanned. Thicker paper doesn't make it through the scanner.

Generally, I like the scanner. However..(as of Jan 20, 2020) -You MUST connect to the internet -You MUST update the software, if there is an update -You MUST have a Raven Account. For these reasons, I can’t love this scanner. My concern is that it will be like my Zune MP3 player — perfectly capable, but eventually stop being supported. Or like my Vudu account, that they go out of business. Or like my Wii, where there are no more servers to use some of the features that previously worked.

The scanner is very fast at 300dpi/full duplex/color. I got through ~1000 pages of records in a couple hours, and that includes the time for removing staples etc. The scanner wanted to update upon first power up. This process hung, but completed successfully after a power cycle. I'm using it for scanning personal records, bank statements etc so I don't want to store anything in the cloud. Unfortunately, scanning to a local network folder is not yet an option, and saving to an attached USB drive is very slow. However, it was possible to connect the scanner to my PC using the drivers Raven provided. Scanning hung the first time I tried after installing the drivers, but rebooting the PC and the scanner resolved that. I'm using free NAPS2 scanner software for the actual scanning to PDF, since Adobe Acrobat is so expensive. NAPS2 is fast, intuitive, and lets me do everything I need for archiving records (OCR, deskew, reorder/delete pages, batch mode from command line). Together with the Raven scanner I've now got a solution that's as fast and convenient as possible for getting my old records digitally archived. If the "scan to network folder" feature gets added, the pipeline will be even simpler since I won't have to turn on my computer.

I just received my new Raven Scanner Pro a few days ago. I was very excited to start scanning documents. So far, it has been scanning great. However, I haven't scanned very much as I am having difficulty connecting it to my laptop computer--which is very distressing. I like the many scanning options it has (and may be using this more in the future), but I purchased the Raven Scanner Pro with the intention of scanning documents directly into my laptop hard drive/external hard drive. I spent 2.5 hours with IT today and this problem has not yet been resolved. I have scheduled another meeting with IT tomorrow to hopefully resolve this. I am hoping that this will be the only issue I have with my new Raven Scanner Pro.

I received my new Raven Scanner Pro and was very excited to start scanning. I set everything up and unfortunately was unable to connect it to my laptop computer. I like all the scanning options that comes with the Raven Scanner Pro, but I purchased it with the intention of scanning a lot of documents onto my computer hard drive/external hard drive. I spent 2.5 hours with IT today and have set up another appointment with them tomorrow to hopefully resolve this issue. This has been distressing and disappointing because I thought it would have been a quick and easy setup. I am hoping that this issue will be resolved tomorrow.
Why Trust Verified Reviews?
Verified Reviews are real, authentic reviews collected from actual paying customers, using Shopper Approved's Verified Review Platform. When reviews are Verified by Shopper Approved, you know that you can trust them to make better buying decisions.
Unverified Reviews on the other hand, are reviews collected by Open Review platforms that allow anyone to leave a review, without any validation or proof of purchase. Unfortunately, most reviews you read online are Unverified Reviews, and can't be trusted.
As a consumer, here's how you can tell the difference:
Verified Reviews from Verified Review Platforms like Shopper Approved, have much higher review counts and higher overall Star ratings, because they attempt to collect reviews from every single paying customer.
Unverified Reviews from Open Review Platforms, tend to have much lower review counts and more negative Star ratings, because people with bad experiences are primarily those who leave reviews. This often creates a misleading, inaccurate portrayal of a companies true reputation.
So, when searching for Verified Reviews, look for the name you know you can trust. Shopper Approved.
