As someone who has tried to move paperless not only in my professional but personal life, I love this scanner! I researched all the printer scanner combos but one with all the features of scanning I wanted are far outside of my budget. Then it hit me I’m trying to go paperless I don’t want a printer! The Raven is not the lowest cost on the market but the features, oh the features. Dual-sided scanning, OCR, direct to cloud scanning. Not to mention the Raven cloud storage. With everything that is packed in it, the Cost of the Raven is far outweighed by what you get.

I needed a scanner for work to try to be a bit more green and less reliant on hauling folders full of paper around. I was initially looking at the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1600 and Brother ADS-1700W, but this scanner also caught my eye because of the big blue bird, and I really liked the idea of being able to scan without needing to be hooked up to my computer. I had this scanner for about two weeks and used it to scan different size pages, from 8.5”x11” down to grocery receipts. The scanner has worked well overall and was easy to setup with different cloud-based services, email, and my USB drive. I have mostly only used the 200 dpi setting, but that has provided quick and clear scans for my purposes so I can’t wait to try out the higher dpi settings. The double sided scanning also worked flawlessly and was able to auto-delete pages that didn’t have a backside. I was also pleasantly surprised that it had a fax function without needing to have a landline connected to it. I have also really enjoyed the jokes on the home screen, but I wish there were more of them because several of them have started to repeat. Raven’s customer service is also fantastic. I had some issues early on with my scanner where it was making some odd noises while scanning and they were able to get the unit swapped with a new one. Their CEO also contacted me directly to reassure me that the issue would be taken care of and to make sure I was happy with my scanner. Overall, the scanner and Raven’s customer service have exceeded my expectations and I’d definitely purchase other products if they expanded outside of scanners.

I use my Raven Scanner everyday at work and I LOVE IT. Until this job I had never used a Raven Scanner before, and now that I am using it I honestly don't know how I ever got by without it. It makes my day so much easier and I love using the desktop app along with it. I scan a lot of documents daily and it has made scanning a breeze. It is very user friendly and it converts documents into a PDF of very high quality. 10/10 recommend, and I feel all businesses should have this in their office.

I watched a few youtube reviews on doc scanners before making my purchase and I've had this thing for about a month. I've had to contact tech support twice already. The first time was so they could walk me through clearing the cache because it kept freezing up and the touch screen wasn't functioning correctly. It's weird that a brand new product isn't working out of the box but ok, the second time was because it was getting stuck on the "processing scan" screen. switching from wifi to ethernet fixed it, but what's the point of wifi if it doesn't work? Just totally underwhelmed by this pricey scanner. I'm fine paying a premium for a premium product, but this isn't it. I will say their tech support has been excellent.
