Protect America does not do what they advertise, at all, in any way shape or form. There reviews have only remained strong because they basically pay people or give them something at a discount to write a better review. I know this first hand, because I they offered me free things to change my review. The truth is, they will not be there when you need them the most. There entire business model is based on creating unnecessary fees, over charging, and when you cancel they bill you one extra time to get another payment. This is what they did to me. They told me the reason was 'I did not officially cancel' when I did officially cancel.  Twice I had a false alarm go off and was billed by the city I lived in. These are like $200 fines each where I live. The alarm went off for no reason at all. So, sometimes there stuff malfunctions and they say it is your fault.   Another time, I told them my password and ask them not to send the police/ fire/ anyone. However, they told me they could not help me and hung up, and they are only following the procedure. There system is a scam making customers feel like it is their fault because the equipment is not working.  If you want to nickled and dimed, if you want horrible customer service, and most of all if you want your home to be unsafe and get charged for it.... then sign up with these guys.     Instead of honoring their own polices , contracts and procedures, their customer service people are trained to find a way for customers to feel like they have do something wrong and it is ok for them to pay more money and not receive the service they paid for.   This is as real as it gets people. Here is my Protect America account number to prove it 0533550. 5/15/2020 I got off the phone to cancel again, for the second official time, and the girl told me she could not understand what I was saying and hung up... This was after an extended weight time.  You see, they have a system in place and their people trained to find a way to not give you the service you paid for and find a way, find anything to keep the customer paying out more money than they have to. And it because   frustrating so what most customers end up doing is give up and pay the extra money and live with whatever they said.... This is a game, this is a designed system in place to run a successful business without being accountable for the wrong actions, over billing, lack of transparency, poor customer service, and not having adequate alarm services as they advertise.  Protect America is just terrible, there is no other way to put it.

Horrible Service, would never recommend. I requested my service to be canceled over a year ago, they kept charging me, and when I called, they had no record of the conversation.

Their system is extremely poor with old dates equipment. hence reason for cancellation.
