I’m ordering my 3rd camera for our 2016 Frontier. I like this camera. Mine still works, but has lost resolution. I use the camera to position the ball hitch to hookup my travel trailer. So, about every 2 years I replace the camera to get the best resolution. After a few years, the resolution is still acceptable for collision avoidance with objects behind me like toys and bicycles.

I like the idea of displaying multiple cams at the same time or individually. I am using an RVS-CL-NC 620 brake light cam and because the cam is a wide angle cam, it displays objects as if they are much further away than in reality. The monitor does not have zoom capability, so using the rear cam in the RV like a rearview mirror is unsafe. Cars behind you appear like they are 50-60 feet away and in reality they are 10-15feet away. Still have lean over to use my actual side mirrors to judge how far away is the car behind me. Sadly, i will likely return the monitor.

While unpacking in preparation for install I discovered that there was two thread taps or screws broken off flush with the right side off the camera body leaving only the center hole usable. Because I needed the unit immediately and several times in the future I mounted the unit as is. Unit works great but quality control is an issue and am not sure what I will do to solve this problem in the future.

Installed RVS-4CAM on travel trailer. Quality of hardware, range & video image great. 70+ feet is no exaggeration. Difficulties stem from incomplete instruction manuals. On-line help is good, but manuals need to be better.

Use this camera as an always on rear view camera in the back window of my small trailer. I can see traffic and it is a little helpful for backing into sites. The monitor is a bit small to be real helpful. It sometimes blanks out for short periods or I would have given it 5 stars

My rear view camera stopped working. The RV repair place said , it needs a complete new system. I brought my RV home read through the manual. Called RVS spoke to the tech. He explained what the problem could be . I checked all of the challenges the tech told me about. Then Purchased a new multiplexer , installed it , problem solved. Thank you RVS.

Tech support awesome. Told what to check for.(circuit connection) which the RV place said circuits good. RV place said problem is multiplexer. RVS is the best. Told me what I needed to do. Now I’m doing as told. Thank you again.

I have purchased a few of these systems and have been great. This last one I purchased to replace a damaged one for a customer has a bad channel and only 2 out of 3 work. The reverse one(most important, back up camera) is not operational. Old screen displays all 3 views just bottom buttons are reason I am changing out.

I received the email to rate my experience on product and delivery and product still had not shipped. Had to call and get a tracking number for them to ship it.

I ordered this camera last week and surprisingly it came in just a few days, a Friday to be exact. We were going on an overnight camping trip on Saturday so I decided to install it quickly. First I connected the camera and screen up to a 12 volt shop power supply to test them. They connected together immediately on power up so I proceeded the install on my 5th Wheel Raptor Toyhauler. I chose to get power from the center top clearance light so I remover it. I had to make the wire access hole larger for the light but it is still wholly covered by the light. Just below the light I drilled a 3/4" hole for the camera. I spliced the wires to the clearance light wires after checking polarity, and mounted the camera. In the cab I used the windshield mount and cig. plug for power. This took less than 2 hours. On power up everything connected with 3 bars of signal on my 40" trailer. My opinion is favorable while on our short road trip. It is nice to see what is directly behind you. The video has a blueish color to it, not natural and I didn't travel at night so can't report on night vision. There is only brightness and contrast controls and no color controls. But it is a clear picture and very usable. I just wished the color were natural like in the advertisement.

Overall good experience. I had a unique situation which was able to be mostly addressed. Would've liked a little more follow-up in response to the question I posed, however. In the end, I kind of feel like I have to figure something else out on my own to get my project to 100% completion, but RVS got me 80% there.

We bought two systems for 2017 Mercedes Sprinter Vans. Both systems are failing within three years of operation. The screens randomly come on when you don't need them, and rarely work when you do. Most of the time, we get a black screen that flickers off and on. They are unusable. Customer service is very hard to get a hold of and not able to help once you do. We order many Sprinter vans and will be going elsewhere in the future.

Needs to be hardwired to a power source that is on/off when the ignition is on/off. Not too difficult, but just be aware that there is wiring to be done.
