To begin, I almost did not order from iBoats because of the absolutely absurd "no Canadian returns" policy. Just ridiculous that a US company would say such a thing in 2017. This isn't Russia...is it?
The online ordering process was simple. The delivery cost seemed high, though the cover is heavy so that part is understandable. The shipping time was horrendous. I placed my order on 27 July 2017 and did not have product in-hand until 17 August 2017.
Finally, and most importantly, the cover does not fit. My boat is stock (no mods) and I selected it from the drop-down list of boats, so I assumed the cover would fit. It is too wide in front of the windshield (billowy) and too narrow at the windshield, such that it does not extend below the gunwales on either side of the windshield (hence, it doesn't COVER my boat).
My first impression with iBoats Customer Service was horrible. The agent I spoke with was rude and immediately referenced the no returns to Canada policy, without even trying to understand the nature of my situation first. She then huffed into the phone while I explained how I would have preferred to have been treated and ensured me that she had "done everything possible to acknowledge my suggestion", without even saying something like, "you're right, next time I will take that into consideration." I expect better customer service from such a large, well-established company. Very disappointing and frustrating.
The situation has not been resolved yet so I cannot comment on how or whether iBoat will be able to remedy the issue. I am hoping that they promptly send a new cover that actually fits so that my boat does not have to sit uncovered any longer.
