Excellent Quest 4D boot. This is jump ready as it is from the forces line. WTF? It has no open eyelets to catch on anything...plus other small features such as IR reduction and berry compliant?

This is my 2nd pair of Salomon Forces Quest 4D GTX. I have a black pair, an I wanted an exceptional boot in Coyote, or in this case, Burro, so these were a no brainer. I do recommend using inserts if you plan on standing for long periods of time on hard surfaces.

I knocked off one star for one simple reason that I have experienced across ALL Salomon shoes.....the laces. They never stay tied. I dumped the well known retail brands, you know the swoosh and others, and went exclusively to Salomon footwear about 2 years ago. The price was hard to swallow at first, but after wearing them for years I can say they hold up better, wear slower and fit better than anything made by the big shoe makers. I just hate the laces. Their laces across boots and tennis shoes all suck. They will not stay tied for a day. I find myself retying them at least 3-4 times a day. I have 4 different Salomon boots and another 4 tennis shoe designs. I won't buy another brand anymore. I was hesitant about these the first time I put them on as I thought they'd be hellish to break in. But by the middle of the first day wearing them I had forgotten they were new boots. They just fit that well. Spend a whole day on your feet with the Ortholite soles and your back will thank you. Their longevity remains to be seen, however given the quality of all of the other Salomon products I have I fully expect these to last. And, as usual, US Elite service was spectacular.

Pretty bummed. Decided to buy from US elite after visiting it frequently. Shipping seemed pretty slow. Opened the box and immediately observed the warning about attempting to return footwear that appeared used. Removed the packaging and the boots appeared....... used. Don’t get me wrong the soles apppeared perfect, but the leather appears to have scuffs in various places. White stuff on the side of the sole. The leather has a slight green hue to it and definately stands out from the rest of the black materials. I have several pairs of Salomon boots and have not really experienced this type of presentation from them. Maybe it’s a sign of the times and their production, maybe US Elite should check the items before they ship them. No need to contact me. I hate returning items and am not fishing for anything... just super bummed this is my first and last transaction with you guys.

I have 3 pair of these boots. The most comfortable boot I have ever worn. The last pair I purchased the outer sole is falling apart and squeaks every step.

I wish I could update my original review and post pics to show everyone. I was really excited the first the 2 months after buying these. 3rd month the soles started to wear down to the carbon that's beneath the rubber sole. I put about 50 miles a week on my footwear just walking on hard top, rock and dirt. Very disappointed to say the least especially since they just passed the 90 day return policy. Are they what everyone claims they are here in the reviews? Pretty much! Lightweight and SUPER comfortable. Popped my ortho insoles in and wore nothing else on my feet for 3 months. Kept my feet dry and warmer when stepping into snow/slush puddles(below ankle though, no gtx web that runs the length of the tongue). Not exactly quiet for tactical use imo I've got some creaking noise going on with them(not the end of the world, just putting it out there). I really love these boots, but buying new boots every 3 months at this price is just ridiculous. In search of a good cobbler.

The Burro works as Coyote with ACUs. We now have several people wearing these boots. Strong, appears durable, easy to don and comfortable.

The product fits great and feels great. But the shoes squeaks really bad. Some people say it creaks...I have only emailed the company from the website with no return email.

Have been my everyday shoes no complain...just took me 2 weeks to break in. No issue with the shoes ITSELF BUT, i ordered a BLACK color and i was sent a burrooooo...... bad!!! p.s. it took 2 mos for the shoes to be shipped overseas to the m.e.

These boots are extremely comfortable and much more durable than any other brands out there. I usually get about 6 months out of a pair of 5.11, Oakley or UA but I've had these for 2 years and they are still holding up. They are totally waterproof (as long as it's not over the top of the boot). They are well worth the cost and by far the best boot I've worn while working both in the military and law enforcement.

Normally wear size 12 in Asics running shoes with an orthotic insert. 12.5 is perfect in the Quest 4D GTX’s. These boots are comfortable for long shifts in law enforcement work. Whether it’s standing for hours on end in an intersection directing traffic, on foot patrol, uneven terrain, wet and muddy weather conditions, beach patrol, and even running during foot pursuits...these boots handle it all. They stay dry and provide all day comfort. If you are on the fence about your purchase...they are worth it. These boots help you do your job because the last thing you want is your focus being taken away as you contemplate how much your feet hurt / your boots suck. Quest 4D GTX’s for the win !

I wear a size 12 in adidas and went with a size 12.5. Fits perfect with my ortho inserts. The insoles that come with them are garbage imo.

The shipping was fast and accurate. I had concerns about the width because in all other duty boots I went with wide. These boots are by far the best I have ever owned and fit perfectly. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for the best. Thank you US Elite and thank you Salomon. Well worth the price. I hope they hold up to the vigorous treatment which I have the confidence they will. Thank you

First few day wearing these it was sunny nice weather. My feet did not feel hot, but rather comfortable. My first rainy day wearing these my recruit parked me in a puddle, at first I had reservations because of my experience with other boots. As I step out into the puddle the water goes over the toe, and the awesome feeling of no wet feet. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

got it and the fit is perfect for my feet!!! got it after a month and half of waiting and was so excited but my excitement faded when i opened it as i ordered a BLACK/ASPHALT BOOTS but what was in the box was a BURRO COLORED... it was a choice of waiting for another 2mos or use and enjoy what is in my hand, i choose the later.... perfect for walking or sprinting around the city or in the mountain side....

Usually the wait for Salomon shoes is 2-3 weeks id they are on back-order, if it is something we have in stock, we can usually get it out to our customers right away.
