You can field tune this antenna for frequency using a analyzer and cutting the base radial. 11.75 inches obtains a 445-470 mhz at 1:8 to 1:1 reflected power across the band. UHF Amateur and GMRS is lower SWR. This design has been a great performer for many years in the two-way industry.

I was surprised how quickly my antenna arrived, but moreover I decided to have a custom cable built for my rig, and it also arrived just a couple days later (custom cables are quoted as up to several weeks lead time). Everything is to specification and work great together. I likely will be a repeat customer as the prices are fair for the high quality delivered.

This mag mount will not move on you at all. You can go through a car wash without worrying about the mount sliding. Just make sure you unscrew the Antenna. 12 foot cable is enough to run cable from top of car to your radio. If you going to use the trunk then i would look for a longer cable. Lrm 195 cable is, in my opinion a great cable. You really dont want to go much thicker then 195. Also if your looking for a uhf mini then you will need to search the other mounts. Also what i really like is the SMA connector the cable has. Very easy to adapt another end to use on another radio connection type.

I purchased this mag mount to use with a Larsen 150/450/800 scanner antenna on my truck. Works great and stays solidly on my truck. Would recommend this product if you are looking for a quality NMO antenna mag mount. Pulse Larsen quality and craftsmanship is hard to beat!

Needed to improve throughput with $60 (on Amazon) 900MHz Wireless Bridge. 1000' through the woods with lots of trees and leaves. Throughput increased from 1 MB to 10 MB. I would buy again and again.

Don't waste your money. It gets no better signal than stock or cheaper aftermarket antennas

I couldn't be happier with this antenna. It works perfectly for vehicles with no ground plane such as Jeep wranglers. Swr of 1.2 right out of the box. Arcadians team is the best!

A few things that made my decision in purchasing this antenna.. 1. real world experience seeing/hearing others with it in action. 2. it's black and no chrome to speak of. 3. The fact it doesn't require a ground plane and no need to drill a hole in my roof and can be mounted to my fender with NMO. 4. Arcadian price/reputation.. The range on this bad boy is awesome. I can hit a very popular repeater 65 miles away in the mountains with it without having direct line of sight. Simplex range is also pretty mind blowing. If I were outfitting all my vehicles with only a GMRS antenna, this would be the one on them all. Of course now having gone and punched my Ham ticket I'm now needing more dual band with hopefully GMRS capabilities.. There's only one I've found so far to satisfy that need with flat SWR.

It was a replacement whip for another one I accidently cut too short to resonate where I needed it too in the HF band It was a wee bit more flimsy than I had assumed, but it works great, even while driving and has performed flawlessly

This is not a high frequency NMO as pictured. It is a regular run of the mill NMO mount. Leaving two stars instead of one because I could have researched the part number better before ordering.
