I am so sorry you didn't get what you were expecting. The order is created by laser fusing the text/image to the sign. It is permanent. Unfortunately we do not offer a traditional engraving with our stainless steel product. We do offer that option in plastic.

The Plate was very nicely done, the engraving being laser is rather shallow, plates subject to abrasion will rub off the engraving.
