It’s a great Comm/ILS device but without a database of waypoints the gps function is of limited use. You can program them in but it is clunky to do that and anyway you should already have ForeFlight as a backup to a panel mount navigator for that if you are IFR. I am glad I bought it as a backup radio and possibly a way to get vectors onto an ILS in the event of a total electrical failure emergency. The alternative, assuming a working ForeFlight, is a lost comms, no vertical guidance situation. This would keep me from flying IFR to a low IFR destination without an alternate with great weather.

I like this headset better than my Zulu 3 and it is almost as good as the Bose A 30 for a whole lot less money. It is a little heaver than the Bose, about the same as the Zulu, but the music quality on the DC is as good as or better than the Bose.

I didn't like my Zulu 3 and the Bose A30 is too expensive, so this hit the spot. I was able to borrow one from a friend to try before I bought, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

I would have preferred to know in advance that a signature would be required. I'm not home during the day, so I had to jump through some hoops with UPS (one of the primary reason I try no to use UPS unless I have to), but I had it in hand before I needed it.
